  1. Klapisch wouldn't say any of those things when Jetes was still on the Yankees. I hate tell-alls where everybody knew what was going on but said nothing until it was safe years later. Funny aside: I was in Seattle last week and Wednesday night I was at a business dinner at the Capital Grille downtown. Who walks right past our table but A-Rod. Comes back out of the private back room a few minutes later and is talking with the Maitre d' for a few minutes not 10 feet away. A woman from China was sitting next to me and she wanted to know who this person was as everyone at the table was buzzing and she had no clue. I explained that he was a famous American baseball player; she nodded her head as if to say, 'okay, but I wouldn't know a baseball if it hit me'. Then I added, "...and he's engaged to Jennifer Lopez"- her face lit up and she said, "Oh, I love J-Lo!!!"
  2. Well, when it's Lenny, I always imagine bad things. And he never disappoints.
  3. I'm a sucker for New Yorker covers. Mona it is.
  4. They just want to be sure d'Arnaud's arm doesn't fall off while he's shaving or something. Then they'll let him go.
  5. Finishes second in the first round of voting for President of Ukraine.

  7. Um, maybe Lugo needs a few days off, Mickey. 7-run lead turns into a save situation. Grr.
  8. Remaining Nats fans put their seat backs and tray tables in the upright and locked position.
  9. Park is about 70% Mets fans right now. They were chanting J-e-f-f, Jeff, Jeff, Jeff for McNeil (or maybe it was Wilpon).
  10. Boy is Familia hard to watch.
  11. Dom's Playing first and I'm okay with it. The earpiece radios the Nats gave out are very cool- but they literally only work inside the ballpark.....
  12. No one's laughing at my knee-high Skyline socks now.......
  13. Again the Let's Go Mets chants erupt in the ballpark!
  14. Wilson helped out by some great D. On to the 8th.
  15. Conforto lollygagged on that ball from Soto.
  16. Noah hanging on but this looks like a battle of the bullpens. However the pulled pork nachos are delicious.
  17. Abe totally cheated in the Presidents race.
  18. Alonso punished that ball on the double. 4-1 good guys.
  19. “Let's go Mets”chants ring through the park as RAMOS doubles in two.
  20. Perfect day for a game. Mow em down, Thor.
  21. I'll be in 219. Absolutely take the Metro to the Navy Yard stop. Psyched to see Thor.
  22. He's near a Wagshal's where you can get sandwiches to die for. Our go-to brunch place is Cafe Deluxe on Wisconsin (try the cornflake-encrusted French Toast!) And Politics and Prose is right next to Comet Pizza, so that's probably our post-ballgame Saturday night. Nats ballpark food is not on a par with Citifield's. But there's a more relaxed vibe in the house.
