Maybe get lucky from there. I don't think they're currently built for sustained greatness (or very goodness) though. This is what the Wilponzis want their fans to think. Be just good enough, on the cheap, for some hope. They will never build a sustainable winning team as long as they own the Mets
  2. It looked like Gsellman was about to come in...
  3. Youse guys make me proud to be a Mets fan...
  4. I’m only here to talk about Qualcomm, not any memories I might have of Matt Harvey
  5. Once upon a time, some thought he was the next Seaver. At least he got traded to the Reds, too
  6. I can’t believe it’s this close, either. As Edgy said, the broken step is money.
  7. A solid four stars. I liked it a lot...
  8. P.J. Conlon will start Monday, and DeGrom will have an amputation procedure Wednesday, Thursday at the latest
  9. This one where I would have voted for both 68 and 86 over either of these
  10. 86 is a nice clean cover, but picked a tough draw. 68 is my all time favorite cover
  11. I love the 76 cover. I like the 78 cover, but the crooked horizon bugs me
  12. There's an option not listed - He'll return to the rotation out of necessity due to injuries
  13. Will someone please force feed saltines to that whistler?
  14. LOL.... sometimes I’m all thumbs on my phone
  15. I drove down to Maryland on Easter Sunday, and took LittleDGW to see the Orioles vs. the Twins. We had great seats 15-20 rows up behind home plate. Ate at Boog’s BBQ - it was good, but definitely overrated. We were both jonesing for Shake Shack after that. The area is beautiful, and we both felt that Camden Yards is the ballpark that Citi wishes it was. We walked around after the 7th inning, and made our way down to the front row by the left field foul pole, which was a fun view to take in. There’s also a mice monument garden out behind center field. Now if only we can have something like that here...
  16. 1962 all the way. It’s telling that the captain isn’t on this year’s cover.
  17. I don’t get the floating heads thing either, but 2011 loses points for the citi logo, and Shea will always beat shitty field
  18. The Mets are really socking that ball, But they can't keep a man on third at all...
  19. 1967, it's Mullin. Enough said.
  20. As one of my first yearbooks, 1974 is a sentimental favorite.
  21. It worked pretty smoothly for me. I only had to refresh the feed once. My biggest nit was the big-assed frame they used the first few innings that reminded us we were watching on Facebook
  22. Am I the only one who read "TWiB Notes" in Mel Allen's voice?
  23. My God, 2015 seems so long ago.... Any Mullin cover beats any photographed portrait, even if it was shot by Joe McNally (which this wasn’t)
  24. HahnSolo wrote: Jesus, is "Jim Breuer, SuperMets Fan" still a thing? Get lost. I thought it was “Jim Breuer, attention seeking douche”
  25. Fortunately, I’m off today, so I can hook up my laptop to the tv so dgwmom can watch the game
