  1. My first thought is that either of these covers will make to the next round, while a more deserving cover with a tougher draw will be one and done...

  3. What killed me is that the next batter swung and grounded out right into the shift. He should have bunted down the third base line, too
  4. When that happened, I turned to LittleDGW, and told her everyone should do that against that stupid shift.
  5. Happy Easter from Camden Yards!

  8. Charlie Samuels should have been sent to prison just for forcing them to wear the black so often. Thank God both he and those black unis are gone
  9. Just devastating news, especially on Opening Day. RIP Rusty. As good as he was on the field, he was a first ballot hall of famer off the field.
  10. I’m going to be optimistic and say 80 wins. The bullpen, defense, and lack of team speed all give me pause, and I can see the record being worse.
  11. I went with 1991 and the fireworks, which also has a story behind it... Back then they had a fan photo contest that they would publish in the yearbook. I had won the memorabilia category from 1989, and had my image published in the 1990 yearbook. I wanted to do something different, and headed out to shoot the fireworks with the Mrs. on Fireworks night in 1990. I met Marc Levine in the parking lot, who shot what ended up being the cover photo. When my slides came back, I knew I had a great image, and that there was no way that I wasn't going to make it into the yearbook again. Then I saw the cover, and knew that there was now way they were going to publish my photo, too...
  12. He was in A Christmas Story Live?!? That makes three. I was referring to THE PRODUCERS, and THE MUSIC MAN (shudder)
  13. The Rangers are adding the Dilly Dog, which is a cored out dill pickle, stuffed with a hot dog, then battered and fried. This sounds like it will be quite good. Smashburger offers fried pickles as a side, and they are amazing.

  15. Has anyone killed two remakes (that shouldn't have been made) like Matthew Broderick?

  17. I think it's safe to swap out deGrom for Thor
  18. "It’s not the best baseball movie. It’s not even Kevin Costner’s best baseball movie. Bull Durham and For Love of The Game are significantly better baseball movies. Heck, it’s not even James Earl Jones’s best baseball movie! The Sandlot and The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars and Motor Kings are infinitely better than Field of Dreams." Yeah, I have to agree with him here. As for the rest of his list, Vic said it much better than I ever could. My top 10: Bull Durham The Natural Eight Men Out A League of Their Own The Bad News Bears The Sandlot Major League Trouble With The Curve The Rookie The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars I just saw Trouble with the Curve a few weeks ago, and liked it much more than I thought I would.

  25. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: if you want to shorten games, call the full chest to knees strike zone.
