  1. Polanco batting for his own self with Soto just sitting there.
  2. The Mets could have also put both Taylor and Robert in the outfield, brought Ewing in to play second, and moved Semien to first.
  3. I trust him coming and going making those challenges as a catcher, but as a hitter he seems to be coming from a completely different place.
  4. The Mets could have moved Polanco to first and lost the DH, but put Torrens over there instead. Because Torrens is Venezuelan for Torre.
  5. I would have been tempted to give that pinch-hit at-bat to Robert, considering his thunderbolt last night.
  6. It seem like, for about five years, you pitch Yellich inside and you own him, but the Mets are sure leaving it over the plate for him today.
  7. Polanco is the returning rehabber not getting with the powa program.
  8. One out and bezes loaded for Vaughn. Play back for the double-play, right?
  9. Lindor, after losing his bat, was rooting for it to stay fair.

  11. Man, Brett Baty in right was an actual active decision the manager made.
  12. Cooper Pratt has that very rare lefthanded loop in a righthander's swing.
  13. First Roberts then Semien. Rehab Mets got POWA!
  14. Any reason besides normal rest of why Soto is benching it today?
  15. Bronze Fonz making a cameo in the middle of the first.
  16. The H should be auctioned off for charity. I personally wish he'd drop the N in his last name. Pronouncing the three consonants R-N-T in a row — three completely different kinds of phonemes formed with three different parts of the mouth — feels too much like work. MLB.com and FanGraphs have respectfully dropped the H, but baseball-reference is lagging behind.
  17. Outlived by NASA!
  18. It's OK. Soto may be declining some in the field, but he's only under contract for another ... (checks notes) (sobs)
