  1. Now you're all showing up.
  2. Eight to nothing is now eight to four, kids.
  3. I hope you're all alright and a zombie apocalypse hasn't gotten everybody. Morel has hustle.
  4. Da fuck is going on? And eight-run lead and no posts! Great to see Morel enter the homerun column. Sux to see Baty hurt when he's playing his best ball.
  5. Soto just can't be stopped from all his leftfieldin'.
  6. Pads did more than win. They were down in 4-1 in the ninth before stampeding back against the Nats bullpen. The Mets are now in sole possession of fourth place in the division, and 12th place league wide, and the Nats would really be doing me a solid if they could just win every game going forward from here.
  7. Kansas City fails the Mets in their key game against Arizona, who have suddenly won four straight. Pads have six more outs against the Washington bullpen as they trail 3-1. Reds and Dodgers tied. If Reds fall, it will leave them within two of the Mets.
  8. I'm sure there's a calculation.
  9. Now that the Mets have essentially caught the Nats, them beating the Pads tonight is the better outcome, and hey, they have an early 1-0 lead.
  10. Nats, Reds, and Cards are all the west coast, so it'll be while before we learn if the Mets gain on any of them, and the Pirates are winning big, but hey, they sure gain on the Marlins. D-Backs, current owners of the last wild card slot, are scoreless in the seventh against Kansas City.
  11. And if Senga gets through this inning unscathed, he gets his ERA under seven.
  12. It appears Soto can track down a deep fly on his own.
  13. Morabitititito replacing Bichette on the basepaths takes him out of play as a defensive replacement for Soto in the ninth. Maybe Pachework gets that call.
  14. Probably, but I still don't want to enter the competition leaving any of my horses in the barn.
  15. I'm enjoying Kloser Kodai, but I'd sure like to see Duarte or Dedniel or the like get a ninth too. Marrying oneself to a single save guy is a plague.
  16. And after bursting the Alcantara bubble, let's not make a Cy Young candidate out of (checks notes) Dax Fulton.
  17. If Baty hadn't been playing in ... .
  18. Gosh, they brought their gloves and arms (or one arm at least) tonight too.
  19. Holy shit! Tuning in, like, two seconds late, and it's 5-0!
  20. Howie Rose speaks openly about his contentious relationship with fellow-Mets Hall of Fame member Frank Cashen, and his successor Al Harazin.
  21. Hey, look! That's Jared Young back in the lineup and playing first! Guestchucker Sean Manaea LHP 4-7, 4.70 ERA, 122 SO Lineup F Lindor (S) SS J Soto (L) LF B Bichette (R) DH C Benge (L) RF J Young (L) 1B M Semien (R) 2B A Ewing (L) CF B Baty (L) 3B F Alvarez (R) C Homechucker Sandy Alcantara RHP 13-9, 3.54 ERA, 142 SO Lineup H Hernández (R) LF O Lopez (R) SS A Ramírez (R) DH J Sanoja (R) 3B E Ruiz (R) RF D De Los Santos (R) 1B J Marsee (L) CF J Serna (R) 2B B Navarreto (R) C
  22. Gotta take care of the part within our control and root our team to glorious victory over the Miamis.
