  1. Nothing personal, but with a two-run lead, I trust Luke Weaver with 15 pitches under his belt more than a fresh Devin Williams. SCORE SEVEN FOR DEVIN!!
  2. Leave Luke Weaver in for the ninth. LEAVE THE WEAVE!!
  3. Runners on first and second for Soto is actually a better situation than Vientos with the bags juiced, but hey! Sexy righty-on-lefty action!
  4. Soft liner to centerfield is Benge's signature hit. I don't know that you can build a sustainable career that way, but I'm OK there.
  5. Maxwell is a massive dude. Looks like a mean military officer too.
  6. Raley is all over the place, but Lowe sure helped him out.
  7. Antoan Richardson seems to have taken his knowledge with him.
  8. Building this pitching staff backwards is a tough way to work. I don't mind Bichette being late, so much as swing at balls up by his head.
  9. That was the plate-appearance where Carson Benge became a man.
  10. Pulled after 76 pitches. Wagaman is welcome to keep hitting like that, but as the last guy in, with options available, and with Polanco starting his rehab assignment, he's swinging for his MLB life.
  11. Tong looks like a sloppy fielder.
  12. Got an Abbott Elementary ad in the midst of an Abbot-pitched game.
  13. When you write "fire stearns, hitting coach, mendoza or the peanut vendor," it certainly suggests that.
  14. If you're heading out to the park, make sure to pack all of your Huascar stuff. CINCINNATI Starting Pitcher: Andrew Abbott LHP 4-2, 3.97 ERA, 38 SO Lineup: Blake Dunn (R) RF Elly De La Cruz (S) SS JJ Bleday (L) LF Sal Stewart (R) 3B Eugenio Suárez (R) DH Nathaniel Lowe (L) 1B Spencer Steer (R) 2B Tyler Stephenson (R) C TJ Friedl (L) CF METS Starting Pitcher: Huascar Brazobán RHP 3-1, 1.73 ERA, 19 SO Lineup: Carson Benge (L) RF Bo Bichette (R) SS Juan Soto (L) LF Mark Vientos (R) 1B Marcus Semien (R) 2B A.J. Ewing (L) CF Eric Wagaman (R) DH Brett Baty (L) 3B Luis Torrens (R) C
  15. It's a weird year. The Cubs were money in the bank a few weeks ago and have now lost 10 in a row and 14 of 16. If they can go from the penthouse to the outhouse that fast, I believe the Mets can pull off a burning tear of one win in a row.
  16. I like spotting minor celebrities at Dodger games that the broadcast doesn't pick up on. I also like watching Mister and Missus Met in home games pass by the tunnel as they cross over from the first-base side to the third-base side, happy as can be while moving from job to job. Mister usually just passes, but Missus tends to have a different sense of her professional responsibility, and knowing she is on TV, usually mugs for the camera for a second before moving on. In a season like this, the seats behind home plate tend to be occupied by less privileged classes as the season progresses, with corporate reserved seats passed down to less valued employees, and so you can kind of bond through the screen as more relatable types get a taste of the high life for a night.
  17. I disagree that that is the dumbest and most pathetic move. And I didn't advocate for doing nothing.
  18. Eleven under .500. Dffrubble.
  19. Vientos earned that 1-0 with a challenge and still swung. Benchable offense.
  20. Take a strike, young man.
  21. Minter 26 carrying more weight than Minter 25.
  22. Kenny from Baldwin. Ask for him by name.
  23. Go the other way, Ewing.
  24. Get Kenny from Baldwin in this forum.
