Busy days with guys pitching their ways off the roster every fifth day (cough, khoff) and trade deadlines upending the league. On the other hand, Ak's one mop-up appearance resulted in a single shutout inning, so what do I know? And it's a damn shame to see the 60-man injured list bloated so, and an even bigger shame to consider that, in some cases, the move may not be warranted but just a product of needing more roster slots. The Mets Roster Central team isn't as down on the Baez trade as I am, but what else is new. All agree that it's good to see Cookie Puss finally take a slot in the rotation, such as it is (in theory, Stroman-Walker-Carrasco-Hill-Megill). Pete Crow-Armstrong exits the organization with a droolable .417 / .563 / .500 // 1.063 in the six games and 32 plate appearances he's managed so far since his drafting 13 and a half months ago. And that's in full-season A-Ball at 19. You know what? Forget you ever read that.
