Sunday losses like those at just this time of year are the kind of thing that lead managerial changes. A day off Monday too. With Tampa coming up. Yikes. Stay close to the phone, Lee Mazzilli.

It's an ad for smart drugs, I think.

Puts the Braves five back entering the five-game series.

Oh, man, getting Bichette to finish it on a sweeping slidey outside of the strike zone.

Shmying run in scoring position with two out.

Pillar to left and Nimmo staying in center. Summat surprising.

Mets hang in there by their teets, but some insurance would mean a lot.

Would kind of like to see defensive replacements for Dom Smith and/or J.D. Drew, as the Jays pull within one on their third straight hit off o' May.

Budweiser's head brewer says during a lie detector test that Budweiser Select tastes like Budweiser ... as if that's somehow a good thing.

Mets really starting to get at the back end of the bullpen here.

"Lazy Mary" > "Piano Man"

Inneresting that McNutty is being allowed to stay out there and run the bases. Guillorme makes the third out and now the Mets go out there to defend a lead over the last three innings.

Always sexy when a guy comes up to pinch-hit with a hitting streak on the line and he extends it in his only opportunity. It's hot, and it's heavy.

Two-run pinch-hit double for McNeil! Full post-season share for Barnes!!

Two on and two out and I'm not saying Jacob Barnes should groove one here to the pinch-hitting Jeff McNeil, but he should know that the Mets haven't yet decided on how much of a playoff share he should get.

I think Pete Alonso has a massive early lead in the SHaMVP race.

DESTRUCTION!

Pete coming up as the tying run against Borucki, who he destroyed in game one.

Hill, meanwhile has left the game after leaving with the bags full of beans and no out. Loogie gives up a two-out single with an 0-2 pitch and the score is now 2-1, Jays.

Getting on bez is not that simple. Guillorme's good.

Rich hill needs a fan club. He's a fun guy to have on your side.

The good news, of course, is that 95% of the Mets' picks have signed. The bad news, of course of course, is that the 5% that hasn't signed is their number pick. It'd sure be a kick in the head to find out that the reason he dropped from the top five to number 10 is that all the other teams had health concerns. Also notable is that none of the Mets' picks have debuted yet, even though the Complex League (the equivalent of rookie league GCL in prior years) has been under way for two weeks. MRC's suspicion is that the Mets are putting them through a period of quarantine. To appreciate what it took to even get here, consider that he had to leapfrog Jesús Reyes, Vance Worley, Alex Sanabia, Luc Rennie, Tony Dibrell, and Oscar De La Cruz just to get this opportunity. Kumar Rocker and his people agreed to a bonus amount very shortly after the draft. But now the Mets have all but three of their picks signed*, but Rocker is one of them. Now some buzz out there is suggesting that Coobymar has a medical issue. *I take that back. All Mets draft picks but Rocker have signed.

It's a thinker, but I'm going to guess Richie Ashburn and Choo-Choo never cracked the top 10.
