  1. Chavis not looking regal on the final out of the game.
  2. Four outs on 12 pitches for Petey's son. And now five on 16
  3. Bryce Harper up, top 5th, bases loaded, two outs, 4-1 Braves .... and he lines out to RF on a diving catch by Acuna.
  4. Bringing in a guy named Stout to face Vogelbach seems ... appropriate.
  5. Last season, and I think early this one, the Braves were scoring a ridiculous pct of their runs late in games. And we should note Albert's #698 last night. StL has a DH w/Cincy today. Game #1 is already in the books with a Cardinal win but no 699.

  7. Even after Acuna's HR to give the Braves a 2 - 0 lead, they loaded the bases but left 'em there. So still 2 - 0 in a game that's somehow already a full inning behind ours.
  8. Edgy MD wrote: Vogelboom has an augmented jersey. He has several [CROSSOUT]inches[/CROSSOUT] yards of unpinstriped material underneath his arms.
  9. Way to keep the goose egg intact C.B.
  10. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Is anyone keeping track of how many times Nimmo has been called out on strikes as he was running to first base assuming that the pitch was ball four? Not as often as he used to is my sense of it, but of course I have no data to back that up.
  11. Nimmo is supposed to go from 0 - 2 to a BB, not from 3 - 0 to a K
  12. And THAT'S when the Hurdy Gurdy man came singing songs of love!!
  13. Edgy MD wrote: [Torre] could have put Treviño at third, where he had plenty of experience, but maybe Torre, whose career had been extended by moving out from behind the plate, saw more wisdom in moving Stearns. His position almost certainly wasn't related to the matter, but making warmup tosses from third, his elbow went twang. Yeah, Torres was kind of skittish about injuries to back stops, even while he was playing. It's why he was sometimes referred to as the Chicken Catcher Torre. Thank you, I'll be here all week
  14. Typical Braves game, get two-hit through seven innings then win going away. I guess you can say typical Phils too, or at least as far as their bullpen goes. The Brews are far enough away to where they can get credited for two wins each time they beat the Yanx as far as I'm concerned. I still hold out a tiny hope of a late season MFY collapse even though I know it's not going to happen. After seeing their lead slip down to 3.5 games it's now back to 5.5
  15. Seranthony Dominguez, who sounds like a representative from sone out-laying Commonwealth country to the Queen's funeral this weekend, is getting smacked around in the 8th in Atlanta. Now 4 - 2 Braves.
  16. A walk, followed by an Acuna 2R HR to start bottom 8th gives the Braves a 3 - 2 lead
  17. As Howie Rose might have said about Guillorme: Kick save and a beauty!
  18. Starting bottom 7 in Atlanta. 2 - 1 Philly
  19. No margin for error for Edwin.
  20. Runs being left out there with < 2 outs by guys you can normally count on.
  21. Gary announced that this inning is being brought to you by, Peaches Hot House and also by some law firm. I think the law firm is what you need after being caught in a delicate situation at Peaches Hot House.
  22. Cruz giveth and then taketh back.
  23. Just as Ronnie was saying, "or Walker could drop a curve on him [Cruz]", I'm thinking: if he does he better bury it or else ... and 'or else' nearly happened.
