We need to start holding the IGT authors responsible for rain delays. If you're going to start one it also becomes your job to make sure that weather doesn't interfere. We may already be past the point where I'm going to make it through a full game even though it's not a school night.

He's also not allegedly 17 y/o From the Bahamas so an int'l FA. Limited stats from '23 only in rookie ball and Dominican summer leagues. Looks so far that unproven though high ceiling guys are their current obsession.

I've always found the whole contrived 'Retire as ...' thing to be meaningless nothingness ... but it's also harmless so what do I care.

No deets yet cuz of the whole approval thing (reading scroll on MLBN while watching--with sound down cuz I'm listening to music--TOR/LAA) but the teams apparently have agreed on the personnel involved. Max was saying after last night's game that he wanted 'to have a talk' concerning the trading of Roberston. I guess they did! btw, about two seconds after I flipped on MLBN to see if they were showing a late afternoon game, the first pitch I saw was Angel OF Taylor Ward taking a pitch in the face. Was down, or at best on one knee, for a long time before finally getting carted off.

Pending Max's approval and other loose ends.

Buck missed his opportunity to engineer a Garrett v Garrett matchup to start the 9th

Has Every Vientos K been on three pitches or does it just seem that way?

I dunno, but Pete's done a great job at perfecting his pop-ups. Must be working hard on them in BP

So it seems to me that the ChiSox have no one left to pitch any games for remaining two months. Maybe their position players will take turns for the rest of the season. That would be kind of cool.

Well that made the wait worth it. The S goes to Boo Radley and the big W for Peterson

Terrific AB by Canha, and a good slide by the worst slider in MLB

    Apres le deluge, c'est Mets

Better weather forecasting here than the guys in Atlanta with the two hour delay when not a drop was spilled. btw, we won like 3 of the next 20 games following that lengthy non-rain delay and don't think there's not a connection

Swinging bunts, bloops, wild pitches, HBPs ... our offense is firing on all cylinders right now.

Oh good, our best GIDP guy is up in the perfect spot!!!

Do we even have a come from behind win in the last three months?

Are you kidding? I totally suck at this game. Even if I happen to know that a player played for X and for Y, that doesn't mean I'd remember it at the time. I've only played a few times and only half-heartedly even when I have. But I'd average around three correct if I played regularly and fewer than that if AL teams are involved.

So let me get this straight, SUBWAY is advertising ... nay, Bragging, that they are just now! starting to slice their meat on site?!? How is that not your starting point for a franchise whose one job is to make sandwiches?
  22. Frayed Knot
    Insurmountable lead.

That was Kingman in '77 when he became the first player to play for a team in each of the four (there were only four then) divisions within the same season. The Mets dealt him to the Pads who later flipped him to the Angels before the Yanx decided they needed him strictly for a late-season series in Fenway and acquired him in September. He had 24 ABs as a Yanqui and hit four HRs + two 2Bs

=kcmets post_id=132984 time=1690494570 user_id=53] I'm staying fully fully clothed if and when we are in DC. What I wear or don't on the Amtrack is a whole 'nother ballgame...
