  1. =metirish post_id=131975 time=1689639370 user_id=72] Trying to figure out the one next to the Giants ?
  2. You're certainly correct but, with the rules giving teams an extra challenge if/when the game goes to extra innings, there's no incentive to Not challenge in that situation.
  3. If I'm on defense I'd rather increase the odds of the ghost runner getting to 3rd on an out (even the 1st one) than I would increasing the odds of a grounder getting through and (probably) ending the game right there. Prior to two strikes I have no problem. But I would have moved 'em back after that.
  4. =metirish post_id=131917 time=1689552958 user_id=72] In Ireland if something is awful you say it's cat ( no idea why )
  5. You really have to question Dave Roberts' decision to keep the IF in after getting two strikes on Guillorme.
  6. Our Robertson (W) was better than their Robertson (L)
  7. =metirish post_id=131912 time=1689552401 user_id=72] Baty is absolutely cat
  8. I momentarily allowed myself to forget that we're using the clown car rules.
  9. Do we even have a ball out of the infield vs the LAD pen this weekend?!?
  10. So the Dodgers are using their titular closer less than 24 hours after using him to close out a four run lead.
  11. All right boys, there's the save now someone go get the win.
  12. Nothing says 9th inning baseball in NYC like blasting 'Sweet Home Alabama' over the stadium PA
  13. And four pitches later that advantage is gone.
  14. OK, we've got two 'ups' to their one in regulation so that (theoretically anyway) works in our favor.
  15. We hit into many GIDPs. 'Twould be nice if the other side would also oblige every once in a while.
  16. Gott Damn it! Got to get the leadoff batter out, man.
  17. Edgy MD wrote: Scherzer out for the seventh. A short leash for sure, but I'd give him the 8th.
  18. Is that the first NYM K of Freddie? I don't mean tonight, I mean in his career.
  19. Nimmo tried his darndest to kill the inning with a GIDP but failed. Is there a Kangaroo Kourt fine on this team for that?
  20. After bashing their way to a win on Friday, the Braves lost Saturday and today to the ChiSox ... so they might not go the rest of season undefeated after all. They didn't even hit a homer today!!! Phils didn't change their start time like the Mets did but waited almost as long to get started vs SDP (they're in the 4th). These things are always a tough call but, at least today, the path the NYM took is a lot better for the attending fans.
  21. Neither could Chris Russo and he supposedly talked for a living.
  22. If Lindor was quicker towards 3rd it would have taken him further from the ball. The bigger problem was that Baty started out by playing the pop as if it were going to land in foul territory rather than 30 ft fair.
  23. =bmfc1 post_id=131806 time=1689475399 user_id=73] AJ P. is right: Lindor should have been at 3B. He was standing around ass-uming the catch would be made when he should have been covering the bag.
