The rosters expand on Monday and I'm trying to figure out who will be wearing the orange & blue (or black, depending on the day). The Mets are very conservative with this and Jerry said that he doesn't like to upset the chemistry in the locker room. (The NO season ended early last night because of Gustav so all should be available right away). With that, I looked at the 40-man roster and offer these picks (I might have too many pitchers): Niese (Tuesday's starter) Knight (from here to Lugo, all have been on the Mets this season) Kunz Collazo Muniz Lugo Al Reyes Rincon (recalled from Mexico for this) -------------------- Aguila Molina (you need a 3d C until Ramon returns) Nixon Ar. Reyes M. Anderson I'd like to see Carp added to bring some pop off the bench but he's not on the 40-man roster.

Stole one. That's how you win pennants.

I have more confidence in Evans than in Endy.

Farmer Ted wrote: It's another way for the Mets brass to throw two more games on the season ticket package. Greedy suits. The Nationals had one exhibition game before opening their new park and gave away (as in free) the tickets to season ticket holders. The rest of the seats were either given to the construction workers or left vacant. I doubt that the Wilpons will be that altruistic.

The Mets will host the Red Sox in exhibition games at CitiField on April 3 and 4. "That should be something", he said optimistically, "to have the last two World Champions play other and open a ball park." http://www.projo.com/redsox/content/sp_bb_red_sox_2009_08-27-08_J1BC3I4_v6.411d169.html

Schoenweis should shut the hell up. He brought the 'pen together a few weeks ago for a meeting and now he's either insulting a teammate (by saying that he's better than Feliciano) or the manager. Who the hell is Schoenweis to insult anybody?

Youll be shocked by how much it never happened.--"Don Draper", "Mad Men", 08/24/08. That's my feeling about last night. Onto tonight.
