Dear Omar, I apologize for saying that you were "incompetent" and "an idiot" for not signing Bengie Molina in favor of the seemingly last catchers available. For this, and this alone, I apologize. bmfc1

You've raised an interesting point Edgy. The Mets are teaching their pitchers to pitch to contact in order to take advantage of the big ballpark. Thus far, it's working at home but on the road, the fly balls that are "long outs" at home become home runs in "band boxes" like Philadelphia and Cincinnati.
Speaking of the height of the upper deck... my friend Seth S. once fell down the steep steps and lost several teeth. From that day on, whenever I was going to a game and told my Grandfather that I was buying upper deck tickets, he handed me a few dollars (and you only need a few back then) to buy better tickets.
The question for the floor: can a person by a MFY loving douchebag but still be a good guy and/or do a good thing? Why do I ask? I'm running in a charity race next month and sent out a mailing to some people soliciting a contribution. A MFY loving DB I know (who knows where my baseball heart lies) sent a generous contribution in the amount of... $27.00. Yes, he used "27" on purpose (I asked). So at once, he performed a generous, charitable, act and yet still acted like a MFY loving DB.
Sitting in 1st base field box seats with my father on a Saturday afternoon--watching Keith skillfully make a play and my father, not one to often reminisce about baseball, say "he's the best first baseman I've seen since Gil Hodges."
