We'll see if Schneider can do better against his former mates than Figueroa.

Mookie will represent the Mets at the draft: http://bizofbaseball.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4400:mlb-announces-club-reps-at-2010-first-year-player-draft&catid=30:mlb-news&Itemid=42

It's a mock: http://mlb.fanhouse.com/2010/05/26/mlb-mock-draft-2-0-the-full-first-round/?sms_ss=twitter They have the Mets drafting Bruce Berenyi, or something like that.

Darryl Dawkins, "Chocolate Thunder"--he said he is on WFAN this morning.

The Mets are enjoying the vibe of Nelson's pitching.

    Welcome back Nelson. http://bats.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/05/25/figueroas-homecoming/?ref=sports

It was great to get that 5th run but Dickey could have pitched the 7th.
  8. bmfc1
Dickey is listed as 6-2. Really?

Murphy in the starting lineup tonight for the Bisons, playing 1B (displacing Jacobs). http://bisonsblog.mlblogs.com/archives/2010/05/buffalo_at_lehigh_valley_game_4.html

    Great analysis FK.

Agreed Fman. YUCK: Five Phillies, two Cardinals and Braun (we'll see if he's as obnoxious this weekend as he was when the Mets played the Brewers last year). Possible Mets All-Stars: Wright, Barajas, Santana.

Another ramification of the FOX blackout window: if Matsuzaka went into the 9th w/a no-hitter, you couldn't turn to Extra Innings or mlb.com to watch and ESPN and MLBN couldn't put it on live. The only way to see it would be if FOX decided to switch.

More info on Saturday's ratings: Prime Numbers: MLB on FOX Hits Three-Year High Featuring five of the top 10 television markets, it is no surprise that FOX drew strong numbers for its first primetime MLB telecast since 2004. Regional MLB action featuring Yankees/Mets drew a 3.6 overnight rating on FOX Saturday night, up 57% from afternoon coverage featuring Phillies/Yankees last year, and the highest overnight for a regular season MLB telecast on FOX since Yankees/Red Sox in '07 (3.7). The 3.6 overnight marks a 16% decline from the last primetime regular season telecast on FOX -- Yankees/Red Sox on a Friday night in '04. Saturday's telecast drew the highest overnight of any sporting event on broadcast over the weekend. On cable, the NBA Conference Finals drew overnights of 4.4 and 6.1 on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. Overnights for NASCAR's All-Star Race, which also aired on cable, were not immediately available. http://sportsmediawatch.blogspot.com/2010/05/prime-numbers-mlb-on-fox-hits-three.html

I went to a game in Philadelphia in '06 and sat near the Mets dugout. I noticed the oversized personality of Lima and was impressed at how much fun he was having.

Ugh. AmazinAvenue Since 4/17, Jeff Francoeur is hitting .140/.184/.219. Not a misprint.

Cirvelli missed that because he was getting ready to pump his fist.

NewYorkMets #Mets The winner of tonight's game will have their team colors displayed on the Empire State Building tomorrow night.

I want to do that but the radio feed over the internet is ahead of the TV.
  23. bmfc1
I think that was one of the best 10 minutes of the season. Except for Joe Morgan.

NewYorkMets #Mets Daniel Murphy continued his rehab assignment going 5-5 with a double and 3 RBI for St. Lucie at Lakeland. He is hitting .727 so far. So Murphy is days away from returning. The obvious cut is GMJ but do the Mets trust Bay and Francoeur to play CF if Pagan can't?
