    We know that Dom will get a tribute video. Will Trevor Williams? Jose Butto can't be recalled until 5/2 unless there is an injury. I'm going with "Tommy Hunter" and "back spasms".

    It's hard to win when your SP can't give you even 5 innings w/o giving up 4+ runs but we're going to have Peterson and Megill (+ Senga who is having trouble getting out of the 5th inning) for at least another week. (The comment about the ESPN start time was actually from Buck to Buster in the annoying in-game interview.)

    Buck pinch hitting in the 4th inning is a level of aggressiveness in bench deployment we don't typically see. Buster Olney asked Buck about it and Buck said/implied: "You don't know how many more chances we'll get because this game is starting late thanks to your network, Buster, and no, I'm not going to tell you if I'm pulling Megill just to give you a good interview so get out of my face so I can do my job."

    Ronny Mauricio is playing 2B for SYR tonight. If he keeps hitting and doesn't embarrass himself at 2B (there's no reason why he would) the Mets can call him up and move McNeil to LF with Canha playing RF for Marte (let's hope he's OK) and DH'ing.

Trump that is a lame answer by Scherzer. If you didn't appeal the suspension, its because you were guilty. I respectfully disagree with you. He's appealing a decision to the same party that made the decision. It's not fair but Max was part of the MLBPA negotiating team and this could have been fixed in the latest agreement.

    As Max was a negotiator for the MLBPA (and reportedly yelled at MLB negotiators per John Harper) I'm sure that Manfred and his henchmen enjoyed giving Max this punishment.

    Ten-game suspension. Suspension appealed. Please ask Manfred: what was the difference between this situation and the one with Domingo German? What was the purpose of the MLB official other than to watch Max wash his hands? Why has only one umpire been involved in 100% of the suspensions for this behavior?
