  1. Mark Feinsand was a guest on today's "Tony Kornheiser Show" podcast and he thinks Pete will return to the Mets for 5 years with a player opt-out after two years. This makes sense given that Pete is a FA after a down-season.
  2. This only makes sense if either Pablo (not Jose) Reyes, Jose Iglesias, or Rylan Bannon joins the team. Lindor's eventually going to need a day off.
  3. How was he such a huge gambler and a thief but he restrained himself from betting on baseball?
  4. Jake had a strong season in Binghamton and looks like a 4-category player. I suspect that we'll see a lot of him in ST '22 and that he starts the season in Syracuse. https://www.milb.com/player/jake-mangum-663968 https://metsmerizedonline.com/2021/09/jake-mangum-impresses-with-double-a-binghamton.html/
  5. He's #20 on this list: https://www.sny.tv/mets/news/snys-top-20-mets-prospects-for-2020/311215324
  6. If you're going to be in the Flowood, Mississippi area at the end of the year, Jake Magnum is co-hosting a hitting clinic: https://twitter.com/jakemangum15/status/1182413394189705217/photo/1
  7. He's mine, Jake Magnum. 4th round pick in 2019 out of Mississippi State. CF, switch-hitter. All-time hits leader in SEC history. Currently with the Cyclones, batting leadoff, wears #8, 6'1", 190. One day, they'll compare him to Jeff McNeil. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jake_Mangum https://www.mlb.com/player/jake-mangum-663968?stats=career-r-hitting-minors&year=2019 What caught my eye was this commentary at the press conference after his final college game (scroll for the video): https://www.saturdaydownsouth.com/mississippi-state-football/jake-mangum-ncaa-third-paid-assistant-scholarships-2019/ To care about his assistant coaches this deeply says a lot about his character. He was a walk-on in college and played the last two years without a scholarship so the school could give it to someone else: https://mississippitoday.org/2019/06/27/jake-mangums-rest-of-the-story-from-walk-on-to-paltry-signing-bonus/ At Mississippi State, they called him "The Mayor". Tell me you don't want this passion and fire on the Mets: [TWEET] [/TWEET]
