    Washington was shut out twice in 48 hours by Tampa. Aww. Kevin Cash (that's the Rays manager) started the top of the 9th with a LHP. After a walk, Cash brought in a RHP, moved the LHP to 1B, rearranged the OF, and the batter struck out. Then the LHP returned and gave up 2 singles so it was bases loaded. one out. Cash brought in Sergio Romo who got a pop up and struck out Taylor to end the game. Then Nationals got sad after Romo pumped his fist, yelled at Taylor and the bench emptied. (From what I could find on Twitter, Taylor stole 3d on Romo recently while WSH had a big lead [9 to 2] so Romo had a chance to express his opinion to Taylor).

    Since the Mets are stuck with Vargas for this year and next year, sorry, that was rude, he is under contract for this year and next year, if Noah ever returns perhaps Vargas could go to the bullpen as Blevins is "struggling" and it would give them another left-handed reliever.

    Edgy: as our Director of Player Personnel, who would get the call for the Frontier flight from Oklahoma City (day game today for the 51s facing Tyler Pill) to Denver in case Bruce is on the DL. Borenstein is hot but not on the 40-man. Kelly?

    How have you expressed your frustration with the Mets this season? I'm not talking about just getting into a silly thread-war with a fellow CPF'er, I'm talking about throwing something, yelling, changing your mind about going to a game or watching a movie on the Hallmark Channel with your wife instead of the game. I'll start: I bought an NFL preview magazine. In June instead of August.

    2 walks in the inning but the .141 hitter swings at the 1st pitch. Reyes PH'ing with the game on the line says everything about Sandy's roster construction.
