  1. From The Post's article: [bLOCKQUOTE]Kyle Thousand, Cespedes' agent, declined comment to The Post on Friday afternoon.[/bLOCKQUOTE] That's a real name?
  2. Will Harris, who helped choke away Game 7 to the Nationals, has signed with the Nationals. 3 years for a 35-year old RP is a lot but at least they know he's healthy. I'm sure that watching the ring ceremony will be quite uncomfortable for him. "Hey Will, look on the scoreboard--that's you throwing a meatball to Howie Kendrick!" https://twitter.com/JeffPassan/status/1212932834949763073https://twitter.com/JeffPassan/status/1212932834949763073
  3. Cano v Conforto, News v News Alonso with his arms raised v Alonso with his arms raised, News v News Noah v Alonso, Newsday v Newsday deGrom v Conforto, Newsday v Newsday The only surviving Jacob cover has him with a bat.
  4. Bob gets a win... and that's no bull!
  5. I'm pretty sure that the Mets added seating in OF (well, not in the OF but beyond the fence) so there were "bleachers". Plus, they are old guys so maybe they called "cheap seats" "bleachers". I heard it (great show) and let it pass.
  6. She should wake her husband so he can also see the awe-inspiring spokesmodels.
  7. Jerry! Nice to see that celebrities want to participate in the Derby.
  8. For what it's worth, I agree with you. Lockett is presently starting depth so they'll want him to stay ready in Syracuse.
  9. It's not as nice as Edgy's work but this is also a good source to see the state of the Mets 26-man roster: https://www.fangraphs.com/roster-resource/depth-charts/metshttps://www.fangraphs.com/roster-resource/depth-charts/mets
  10. JOG is a great cover and a reminder of the exact morning, the previous day from that cover's publication when I gave up on Cano as a fantasy owner. I told a friend how difficult it was to waive a Met and that friend emailed me the next day laughing... and told me that he told his wife and she laughed, too. (I added Keston Hiura, who is very good, and it worked out, not that you care.)
  11. Big market Blue Jays with a nice signing.
  12. Are Alonso covers being given fewer votes because there are so many of them? This particular contest shouldn't be this close.
  13. The umps won't be fired, of course, but they can stay busy putting rosin on their balls.
  14. Good. Some are worse than others but all of them are horrible. There are 4 to 6 of them on the field and they still require help to get the calls right. Human error is for the players not the arbiters. F the umps and the system that empowers the continued employment of Angel Hernandez and CB Bucknor. I'm done for now.
  15. https://twitter.com/MikeSilvaMedia/status/1207668201296998400https://twitter.com/MikeSilvaMedia/status/1207668201296998400 I plan on spending a night with Diletta Liotta Instagram WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM Create an account or log in to Instagram - Share what you're into with the people who get you. Instagram WWW.INSTAGRAM.COM Create an account or log in to Instagram - Share what you're into with the people who get you. but that's not going to happen, either.
  16. The other presenters pranked her as an initiation. They can be so mean!
  17. Yes, who is she? I admired her displeasure at an inferior cover defeating one of the best in the competition.
  18. Very nice pictures but who is the newcomer in 2.04?
  19. In a Derby that the pundits thought would be dominated by Pete Alonso, Michael Conforto is doing quite well.
  20. Madison Bumgarner to the Diamondbacks. https://twitter.com/JeffPassan/status/1206333754182111237https://twitter.com/JeffPassan/status/1206333754182111237
  21. This is all true but Nationals PR man Tom Boswell says that their fans shouldn't worry: https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/nationals/anthony-rendon-and-the-nats-made-sensible-decisions-why-does-it-feel-so-lousy/2019/12/12/74ce201a-1d24-11ea-b4c1-fd0d91b60d9e_story.htmlhttps://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/nationals/anthony-rendon-and-the-nats-made-sensible-decisions-why-does-it-feel-so-lousy/2019/12/12/74ce201a-1d24-11ea-b4c1-fd0d91b60d9e_story.html
  22. This could be interesting: https://twitter.com/JeffPassan/status/1205598295655141376https://twitter.com/JeffPassan/status/1205598295655141376 It's interesting if the $ saved from the '20 payroll is used for new players, such as Betances and Will Harris. It's uninteresting if the $ saved from the '20 payroll is merely recaptured by the Wilpons.
  23. Oller's numbers improved in the second half so maybe that's why they liked him: http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?sid=milb&player_id=670124#/splits/R/pitching/2019/MINORShttp://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?sid=milb&player_id=670124#/splits/R/pitching/2019/MINORS
  24. Having 6 SPs is not too much so you can trade one of them, especially when one (Wacha) has had injuries in the last two years. Peter Gammons speaks of Porcello's intellect for pitching so he will be a good Gelbs interview. You know that he will do everything he can for a big season so he can make even more money as a FA after next season.
