  1. Best game of the year, so far...
  2. I've monopolized the Brewers for several years, so if anyone else wants them... Otherwise, I'll take the Brewers and the Twinkies.
  3. Buck's catching helmet is...distracting to say the least.
  4. LITTLE BIG LEAGUE (1994) features Dave Magadan, Carlos Baerga and Sandy Alomar Jr., but I would not consider it a top 13 baseball movie.
  5. No-han on Opening Day April, 1, 2013 By Adam Rubin | ESPNNewYork.com Johan Santana is not expected to be present for Opening Day introductions or to visit with his teammates, a Mets official said. Santana, 34, is due to undergo a second surgery Tuesday to repair a torn anterior capsule in his left shoulder. Team doctor David Altchek will perform the procedure.

  8. Boo!!! (At the situation, not Jonan.) Well, at least I wasn't counting on him for much this season. Makes me want to see in the big leagues Wheeler NOW!
  9. Ugh...they need to just stop with these.
  10. I try to typically err on the side of losing, but I'm taking the over at 74 1/2.
  11. Hefner just took a ground ball off his elbow in the top of the 4th and came out of the game against the Cards. Somewhere, Chris Young is smiling.
  12. Mets Willets Point wrote: Jason Marquis is still around... And apparently better than two other Padre starters.
  13. Padres starters vs Mets: Game 1: Edinson Volquez Game 2: Clayton Richard Game 3: Jason Marquis http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/mets/post/_/id/62898/pads-set-rotation-for-mets-series
  14. 3rd Place 79-83 Nope Nope
  15. Yikes! This was pretty bad. Apatow's wife plays a pretty mean witch. A fake couple fighting for 2-plus hours. Did they really expect anyone to find this flick endearing...even with the cheap joke/gags? Paul Rudd is a guy I want to like...but I'm going to have to see more from him. I feel like he could make better choices now that he has a resume. Step out of you comfort zone, Paul.
  16. Turner pinch hits...and gets a base hit....then goes first to third on a single. Welcome back, Justin. Kirk had a double in the minor league game today as well.
  17. I don't know if it's been mentioned anywhere, but I love, love, love the new MLB batting helmets. They bring back the old-school roundness that the Cool Flex model (or whatever they were called) lost. I know they are for safety, but I dig the style much more.
  18. Two run triple for DD...tied at 2.
  19. A dinger (Freese) given up by Hef. He gives up his share of long balls. 2-0 MFCs.
  20. Guys and Ronnie are saying on the broadcast that Terry still expects Marcum to make his next ST start and not miss time. We'll see.
  21. Anyone watching? I'm flipping between NCAAs and the game. 1-0 STL on a Wainwright RBI. Hefner with 3Ks thru 2 IPs.
  22. FYI...like last season, the roster lineups have been reset...so everyone you have is a bench player until you denote otherwise. Make sure you check before opening day.
  23. Just got my summer kicks. Walking the fine line between nerd and cool.
  24. Not sure if Lunchie is aware, but it looks to me like he's got Cuddyer listed twice on his roster, counting against his cap twice and making it look like he has 40 players, but he only has 39.
