More to worry about as Harvey struggles (6 runs, 7 hits, 4 walks in 3 innings), Cespedes has an outfield gaffe (and two Ks) and Bastardo lays another turd. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/mets/post/_/id/115739/matt-harvey-struggles-as-mets-swept-in-split-squad-games The Mets also lost to the Red Sox in the split-squad and have looked pretty bad for over a week. It's a good thing spring games don't mean anything.

I've never seen where Fangraphs gives potential bid amounts. They do give a FPTS score, which I assume is a relative value, but doesn't really translate to how we score or what our budget is. I wish they would show me which players have retired because their club won't let their home-schooled kid hang out with the team all season.

Man, if I've got worries, it's about the bullpen. It seems like there have been a lot of blown leads this spring. I know it's not apples-to-apples with regular season situations, but still.

I also hate that SI now has regional covers. I have a gaggle of Cubs smiling back at me in my local supermarket checkout line this week on the cover of SI. Hopefully, the curse spreads to them too.

Syndergaard looked pretty dominant early today and got himself out of a couple of jams. There were a couple of times he walked off the mound after throwing what he thought would be a called third strike only to have the pitch called a ball by the ump. Seems like his confidence level is high. Walker hasn't been overly impressive at the plate this spring, but the defensive upgrade at second base is very noticeable. I'm also dubious of switching up Cespedes and Lagares defensively...but Terry's managerial capital is at an all time high with me right now. I'm hoping it's just an experiment.

I think the Opening Day starter is an overrated concept...and even more so with this staff. I'd be happy and confident with any of them getting the nod. I would not be at all surprised to see Syndergaard have the best season of them all, but I'd bet on Harvey being on the mound for Opening Night. -
Even if Cabrera's knee injury is mild, I have to think it bodes well for Tejada in this argument.

Yeah, I keep Tejada on just because he is the best fielding SS on the squad. Not that he's a gold-glover, but in the late innings of a close game, he could make a difference.

In the Midwest, Styx plays many county fairs in Illinois, Wisconsin and the surrounding area each year (usually with REO, Cheap Trick or other Midwest bands on the bill). DeYoung does sing a majority of the hits (at least the ballads on Classic Rawk stations), but maybe only 50% of the band's catalog. I've had the opportunity to see Styx minus DeYoung many times and passed...but I would consider seeing a full reunion (unlikely as it may be). -
