  1. So did he. Another decent outing for him.
  2. AG/DC wrote: It's hard to imagine him going beyond a seven-and-a-half-footer and still keeping his pants. Of all the things about The Incredible Hulk (and comic movies in general) that are hard to imagine...
  3. I really, really like Castillo hitting eighth. Not that I'm down on his ability, I just think he's a much better option at #8 than Schneid. He's cleared the pitcher twice tonight and if he ever got on with less than 2 outs, he's a better runner than Schneid with the pitcher batting.
  4. What happened to spring training John Maine?
  5. Benjamin Grimm wrote: Chico is 2-2 vs. the Mets, with a 6.20 ERA. All of his appearences vs. the Mets came in 2007, and all were as a starting pitcher. He didn't oppose John Maine in any of the four starts... I know I didn't come up with Chico and the Maine. I bet they were probables for 4/15 last season and got rained out.

I agree. I thought the SNY broadcast was excellent in 2006 and has gotten worse each year. I think it may have to do with them being something new and fresh starting out, and now maybe they're trying to gear themselves more towards the FSNish demographic. I still think they do a better than average job of talking about the game, they just don't do it as completely as they did that first year.
  7. AG/DC wrote: Him and Maine is an interesting matchup. both are potential comers. They seemed to matchup aagainst each other a lot last year, prompting a few Chico and the Maine references.
  8. Vic Sage wrote: The Incredible Hulk (June 13, 2008) - POST-PRODUCTION dir Louis Leterrier, script Zak Penn, with Edward Norton & Liv Tyler, Tim Roth, William Hurt. Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) living in shadows, scours the planet for an antidote. Upon returning to civilization, he is pursued by The Abomination (Tim Roth) -- a beast whose powers match The Hulk's own. Banner must call upon the hero within to rescue New York City from total destruction. Didn't they do the Hulk thing like 5 years ago? It does not look like this is a sequel, so did they just take a mulligan on that $137,000,000 piece of crap? I don't follow comic movies all that much, but shouldn't there be rule about this, or at least a waiting period before trying again?
  9. Brian Bannister is still magnificent throwing a CG 3 hit game for the Royals. The one run that scored against them was unearned. The Phillies get screwed on a disputed homerun by the Cubs that appeared to be foul. They are currently in the 9th tied at 5. Washington beats Atlanta and Houston beats Florida.
  10. Last call for a win...Church, Easley, Schneider.
  11. motherfather I hate this game.
  12. KC wrote: How many freakin' DP's is that? More than a German porn film. This is ridiculous.
  13. SteveJRogers wrote: What is worse than the "Everybody Clap You Hands" bit at Shea? When fans clap like sheep to it. Yeah, God forbid baseball clubs actually encourage fan participation in a baseball game in order to make the experience of attending the ballpark more enjoyable. Do you sit on your hands during a rally when you're at a game?
  14. C'mon Mets, let's get it together.
  15. TransMonk wrote: Is the soup done yet? 64 pitches, 6 earned runs and due to bat 3rd this inning. Nope...and Perez is laboring out there.

  17. 3 RBIs for Schneider through the first 3 innings.
  18. Perez gets the K. Lots of pitches for the Mets starter early again today.
  19. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: I like the all-white, blue-cap look. I think it's their best combo. I agree.

  21. Wright gets the big hit with no one on. Carlos walks and that's it for Ben. Delgado has the chance to be a hero.
  22. Sheets mowing down the Mets...15 straight or something. This sucks.
  23. TransMonk wrote: ... Johan, he's good for a home run a start... Or two. 3-2 Milwaukee after a Weeks bomb. Let's go offense.
  24. Hall ties it up with a long ball. That's the thing about Johan, he's good for a home run a start. Luckily they're mostly solo shots.
