  1. San-fucking-tastic! Let's score more runs.
  2. Santana working some magic getting out of some big jams with no runs scored. Hey O, more runs, please!
  3. Lotta pitches for Johan through 3. I'd like to see some more runs scored, please.
  4. Hey, look at the bottom of our lineup! Schneider KABOOMs Church home. 3-0 Good guys.
  5. Single, sac, bloop for the Mets net a run in the first. Oswalt handled the 2 Carloses, though.
  6. I would begrudgingly send A-Rey down. He'll be back on the 1st.
  7. The 'Stros feature Ty Wigginton: leadoff hitter. T. Wigginton, LF M. Loretta, 2B M. Tejada, SS L. Berkman, 1B G. Blum, 3B H. Pence, RF D. Erstad, CF B. Ausmus, C R. Oswalt, P

  9. When your magic number equals the number of games you have left to play, there's really no point in keeping track of it. The way things stand right now, to guarantee a division championship with out help from anyone, they need to go 32-3 the rest of the way. Hardly magical. There's still loads of baseball to be played, and I'm looking forward to it. If we're up by more than 7 games with less than 17 to play, I'll be much more excited.
  10. He's got an option for next year with ATL. I'd be really shocked if he left Atlanta at this point in his career. He's got the whole Ripken, Gwynn, Biggio thing going on down there.
  11. Pelfrey 6 Murphy 2 Wright 1 Tatis 1
  12. I was thinking MAT-SOOEY!, but I suck at this stuff...run with it, Irish.
  13. Yankee outfielder retires to pursue pig farming.
  14. Mora! Mora! Mora! Would the Vietnam version be Bamberger Hill?
  15. Way to go, Pelf! Lots of love for this guy. 2 CGs in 4 days.
  16. Pelf it is...with no one warming.
  17. Pelfrey 96 pitches through 8. Who gets the ninth?
  18. Wild pitch makes it 6-3, but Pelf out of the inning. Thanks, for the recap, JCL.
  19. I walked away for 5 minutes. I come back and the Mets have added a run. No mention of D Wrights KABOOM anywhere here. I had to look up the boxscore. Tsk.
  20. A 2 out, 5 run rally will always make me smile.
  21. I think the Braves are already in the off-season this inning.
  22. I saw the interview and thought it was interesting too. Kinda backhandedly threw Atlanta fans under the bus. Still, It's hard for me to feel sorry for him while his team is not winning after all of those division championships. After all these years, I don't hate Chipper as much as I used to, though.
  23. MLB and ESPN have Oswalt and Backe flipped. Santana vs. Oswalt on Friday looks to be a great match-up as both of them are coming off of nearly flawless performances last Sunday.
  24. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: Everything on Wagner is connected to the jawbone, I think. Bullet of cool!
