  1. 1998 - Tony Phillips
  2. Gonna be a long 46 hours until the next game.
  3. Even their announcers are a little too proud about it.
  4. A good team could come back and win this one. Where are you, O?
  5. And another extra base hit and run.
  6. WTF, Mike? 5 hits in the 4th, 3 for extra bases. 4-1 Dicks
  7. 3 innings, 3 double plays
  8. That's a mighty big blck hole at the bottom of the lineup. Hey, Marlon! How about a break-out game?
  9. ="smg58"] That being said, wouldn't Pedro missing a year be considered a major injury? I agree. And El Duque. And Zambrano (NTTAWWT). He must have meant young pitchers.
  10. The Mets rank 2nd in the NL at sac bunts, sac flies, walks and lead the league in steals. It seems to me that they do more than most to "manufacture" runs...maybe at the cost of playing against some strengths of the team.
  11. Agreed, I'll take my chances with Tatis and Chavez in the outfield if we can get another bullpen arm. If the Mets lose this game, it will be the 5th loss of the month on the bullpen...and we'll have only had 7 losses this month.

  13. Now the Marlin booth is saying stiffness in Maine's right shoulder. No word on if he's icing it or not.
  14. Marlin booth says Maine has a sore forearm that he is icing. Maine says he's fine.
  15. What's going on?

  17. Since we're between these two teams on the schedule, it got me thinking that they are fairly similar. I'm not sure that either can or will make the playoffs, but... They have both been playing above what most thought they would all season. They are both currently in 3rd place in their divisions, but within striking distance of the top. They both have talented parts, but also glaring flaws. St. Louis currently has the better record, but plays a slightly tougher schedule the rest of the way: St. Louis (58-49) 9 vs. Cubs, 2 vs. Milwaukee, 3 vs. Philly, 7 vs. Florida, 7 vs. Arizona, 3 vs. Dodgers, 24 vs. sub-.500 teams Florida (55-50) 3 vs. Cubs, 12 vs Mets, 7 vs. St. Louis, 9 vs. Philly, 3 vs. Arizona, 23 vs. sub-.500 teams So, who do you think finishes with the best overall record at the end of the season Florida or St. Louis?

  19. Santana 5 Tatis 1 Wright 1 Castro 1 Reyes 1 Beltran 1
  20. Santana doing his job. 24 pitches get him to 3 hitless innings. Anytime the offense wants to start hitting with RISP would be great.
  21. They had many, many opportunities to win this game. What a fuckin' buzzkill after coming back twice.
  22. Well, you can only dance with Pujols for so long before he's going to fuck you. Shitfuck!
  23. AG/DC wrote: He bats next inning. If they pull him, it's Maine, I guess. I hope that Johan's at home right now. If we ever needed him to go 9, it would be tomorrow.
  24. It just keeps going and going and going.
