  1. The Cubs taking care of the Phils this weekend and the Mets taking care of the Brewers next week would also take a little pressure off that last week of the season at home. 7 vs the Cubs and Marlins while Philly plays Atlana and Washington at the end of the year worries me a bit. The bigger lead we have and the less the Cubs have to play for, the better IMO.

  3. Delgado 4 Santana 2 Murphy 1 Schneider 1 Feliciano 1 Ayala 1
  4. Heilman hasn't always had the mean face while he's pitching. I think he developed it when there was talk of him being the closer before Wagner was signed.
  5. Wright On!
  6. 6 outs left with a 3 run lead. Now's the time to shine BP...no drama, please.
  7. Schneid with a dying duck! 2 out rallies rule. This is what we needed.
  8. Rook! FU Lidge!
  9. Delgado will do it himself!
  10. ="Gwreck"] at MIL Mon Sep 1 - Santana v. Ben Sheets Tue Sep 2 - Jon Niese (?)/Brian Stokes (?) v. Jose Parra Wed Sep 3 - Perez v. Dave Bush I have tickets to the 9/3 game that Perez is slated to start. The Monday game is sold out, but I think I'm going to either buy standing room tickets or try to see what the scalpers have to offer. That pitching matchup is too tempting to miss since I have the day off anyways.

  12. This game was 7-0, right? Bullshit!
  13. Heilman = balls...at leat tonight.
  14. 17 pages. Really? Sorry I'm late.
  15. Let's get some more runs, O!
  16. Florida still has 6 with the Mets and 6 with the Phils, so phinished may be a little strong...but definitely phading.
  17. Adam Rubin wrote: With Mike Pelfrey already having exceeded his innings count for any pro season at 154 innings, pitching coach Dan Warthen intends to use Brian Stokes as a spot starter Aug. 31 at Florida to give Pelfrey nearly a full turn of rest. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/mets/2008/08/22/2008-08-22_luis_castillo_set_to_return-3.html

El Duque previously had resisted that procedure because the recovery time could cost him more than a full season. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/mets/2008/08/22/2008-08-22_luis_castillo_set_to_return-3.html
  19. Santana 4 Schneider 2 Wright 1 Reyes 1 Heilman 1 Ayala 1
  20. Ayala, youala, we allala...and the Mets win the ballgame! Luis says "FU AG" as he 1-2-3s for the save.
  21. I can live with our offense laying an egg for 6 innings against Oswalt...especially if they lead the game. It's when they make RA Dickey look like Cy Young that I get upset.
  22. 1-2-3 for Heilman in the eighth!
  23. 17 in a row for Oswalt. This one now goes to the pen.
