Probably a response to the clever and successful 'Tinder Night' thrown by the NBA's Atlanta Hawks, MLB is apparently running with some sort of dating thing, sponsored by Match.com. Such magical corporate synergy! The many Miss Wrong's that I've met (pun intended) may have only been wrong because we didn't have a shared love for the same baseball team. If only I could've met my own Backpack Girl or Squinty or Pearly or Toothy, yet know that THE most important thing is built in from the very start. It might now be my girlfriend that demands to "SEE THE PLAN!!!" or to "GET TULO AT ANY COST!!!". I'm getting warm just thinking about the possibility. After-all, the only thing better than one insane person is two. Will let you know if I meet Jeffy's daughter (fingers crossed). Wish me luck, yall.

If Jose plays all 162 games for each of the remaining four years of his contract (and this poll) he'll end up with 901. 143 in 2014, 396 total. He's averaged 132 games the first three years, on pace for 792. Also, props to JCL for immediately predicting he'd play more games for a team not called the Marlins. -

I'm listening to the Amazin' Avenue one and the dudes are knowledgeable, but I find I'm not getting hooked and this particular ep's an hour and forty-five minutes long. That's longer than the finale of an FX show. Any recommendations?

Yup, 'not sure' is sort of a given, isn't it? Should've left that off. If there were still more attractive options available today, I don't think I'm as into him. With the barren landscape, though, I'm leaning yes.

The internet sez Korean shortstop Jung-Ho Kang was posted yesterday and bids must be submitted by Friday, the 19th. The internet also sez that the fee will likely be $10-15 million and he wants a contract in the neighborhood of 3/24, making the whole tab ~$34-$39M for 3 years ($11.33-$13M per). He's right-handed, 27-years old, and mashed in the hitter's paradise of the KBO (.354/.457/.733, 39 home runs) but the Mets (and other teams) are unsure how both his bat and glove will play in America. I think he's very intriguing (maybe because I really know jack shit about him). If his MLB ceiling ends up being "good" Jed Lowrie, is that enough? If he is something less than a monster, then we've got a fairly expensive (but potentially useful) guy who could prob play 4 infield spots, spelling Wright, whoever the shortstop ends up being in 2016, and maybe getting some starts at 2B and the odd one at first. Worth the risk? Or overpriced utility guy? Do you Kang or do you abstain?
