  1. Over. Way over. He'll be gone by the end of 4.
  2. Great. I'm the Nationals. Watch me cheerlead in the dugout.
  3. Sorry. Brian McRae
  4. cream brain = Brian McCrae
  5. Yogi **** = Guy Conti
  6. ="seawolf17"]Current Met Brady Clark was managed by Bobby Valentine in 2002. Bobby was in "Nazo no hmu pji sararman neo" (aka "Neo The Office Chuckler") with Billy Blanks, who was on an episode of "ER" with Laura Ceron. Ceron, of course, was in Rails and Ties with Kevin Bacon. Steve Eastin, who was also in Rails and Ties, was in The Scout with Tim McCarver, who broadcast the 1991 MLB All-Star Game, featuring Dodgers pitcher Mike Morgan. Awesome.
  7. Mike Morgan played for 12 major league teams. View his statistics here: http://www.baseball-reference.com/m/morgami01.shtml Find me the shortest link between your 2008 Mets and Mike Morgan without repeating routes. Example: Damion Easley was a teammate of Luis Gonzalez on the 2006 Diamondbacks, who won a World Championship with Mike Morgan on the 2001 Diamondbacks. (for the next guy, try not to use Luis Gonzalez etc.)
  8. Reyes 3 Easley 2 Wright 2 Smith 1 Schoeneweis .5 Sanchez .5 Wagner 1
  9. "This year I feel completely different" Robin Ventura in 2001 hoping to bounce back after an injury-plagued 2000. "This year my back feels completely different" Edgardo Alfonzo in 2002 hoping to bounce back after an injury plagued 2001. "Delgado is in the best shape of his life" - Party line in Spring, 2008.
  10. I was too young to know anything about Stanley. I just knew I liked the guy they had on the mound and wished they would leave him out there.
  11. That's amazing. Scarlet once told the story that she was living in Boston during that time and Stanley had a reputation of bad luck following him around. When he entered the game, she even put aside superstition and predicted good luck for the Mets. You know, it occurs to me that she's here and she could probably tell it better herself.
  12. I felt bad about the way they strung him along and all but he needs to STFU. Not taking the high road may be costing him future opportunities.
  13. Maybe I have too little going on in the rest of my life, but the length of baseball games has never been an issue for me.
  14. Why is Pelfrey still in this game? Was Willie fired mid-inning?
  15. Shoulda stuck with your gut.

  17. Gwreck wrote: Gary called that "the most idiotic thing ever said" during tonight's broadcast. Gary wasn't on the phone with Hotwire Customer Service for twenty minutes.
  18. No TV tonight. Hotwire sucks. I'm relying on you guys for details.
  19. "We don't hit, we don't run the bases," Mussina said. "You get four or five at-bats a year at most, and if you happen to get on base once or twice, you never know. We run in straight lines most of the time. Turning corners, you just don't do that."
  20. Beltran 2 Delgado 2 Tatis 1 Nixon 1 Castro 1 Heilman .5
  21. Santana 6 Tatis 2 Wright 1 Castro 1
  22. Benjamin Grimm wrote: So far nobody's tackled the question about what Nieto does, or what he's allegedly failing to do. Anyone? 1. Gives "5" instead of the preferred "2" like HoJo and Robinson. 2. After taking batting gloves from a baserunner, often forgets to give them back, forcing batters to frantically track him down before their next at-bat. 3. Can't remember which Carlos is which. 4. Annoys baserunners by giving the "slide" sign at first. 5. Hums a lot. 6. When asked about the number of outs responds with "How the fuck would I know? Pay attention." 7. Has inside jokes with opposing teams first-basemen. 8. Uses Street Spanish 9. Jots down how differently Bobby Valentine would have managed games then calls into WFAN as "Tommy from Queens". 10. Cannot time pitchers' delivery to the plate due to lack of proficiency with stopwatch.
