  1. What is our magic number? Someone should start a thread! I am kidding. No one do this.
  2. Win the series tonight. Mat Latos annoys me. He spells Matt wrong.
  3. Woo hoo! There may be no superstars in this lineup but 1-8 can take you deep and hurt you at any time. Good things so far. Suggested slogan: 2015 Mets. We go deeper.
  4. Lots of great things in 2015 so far. Mets are in first (tie anyway), Nats are in last, MFY's are in last. Let's keep it up.
  5. Braves lost too. Woo hoo!
  6. This game is already irritating. Call up Matz and Reynolds.
  7. Wait, I remember Eric Stults. He was that kid in Mask right?
  8. Your starters are Eric Stultz (never heard of him), Julio Teheran and Alex Wood. Teheran and Wood are pretty good.
  9. Mets over Nats 6-3 Toronto over MFY 6-3 In honor of TH #2, we have 6'3" Gabrielle Reece
  10. If we win tomorrow we will have half of our 2014 win total against Washington.
  11. I always thought those posts were great pieces of fiction.
  12. That's about as good a news as one could have hoped for. Get better Jenrry.

  14. No hard facts to base this on, but there are a few things that suggest TJ surgery *Bones reaction and quotes in the Rubin article. Probably the most damning. *You don't run out of the bullpen and to the trainer unless something is pretty bad. *Mejia somber mood after the game. *"Going to NY to have MRI and see Dr. Altcheck" is never a good thing. *Cheapass Mets probably get a discount if they get three TJ surgery in a month

I know the economic reasons for setting up the season this way, but when we take over these lands and I get annointed king, my first act will be to eliminate this day. That should be your second act. Your first act should be to anoint Opening day as a national holiday. This is absolutely right. Opening Day is a national holiday. All start times are 1 p.m., and no rain allowed anywhere. It would be part of my Expansion of National Holidays Edict. Additional holidays: *Opening Day. Self explanatory. *The All-Star Break. Everyone gets three days off mid-summer. Hey, you are all All-Stars in my book. You deserve it! *The first two days of the NCAA tournament. I am still taking suggestions on a catchy name for these two days. *Hangover Monday. The day after the Super Bowl

  17. For this thread, I will concentrate on my FEELINGS. *I'm glad I didn't watch the first inning (Murphy's error) until the replay at night. I think I would have had my first heart attack. *Colon was amazing, but I still watch his starts wondering how all of these hitters are missing his fastball. *Flores made every play, but he just looks awkward out there. Every time the ball lands in Duda's glove, I'm a bit surprised. I can't tell if he has a good arm or not. On the other hand, Desmond looks like a terrific fielder, but in reality, he's pretty bad. Desmond will have more errors in 2015 than Flores. *Daybidrye still looks a bit out of sync at the plate.
  18. Sounds like Mejia is done for the year and they all know it. We can just alternate Mejia and Parnell for the next few years I guess.

  20. Thanks for doing this year after year BG.
  21. I always thought he was the guy donating all of these super strong elbow ligaments.
  22. Zach Wheeler and Josh Edgin for 2015. Matz has his out of the way, so that's good. So I'm thinking Syndegaard and Montero should be set for 2016, since we'll have Wheeler back by then. Hopefully we can schedule their's early in the year so they'll be ready for Opening Day 2017. Did Mejia already have his TJ surgery? If not, we should try to coordinate it for when Parnell comes back.
  23. Anyway, just get it done now. Be ready for Opening Day 2016. See if Dr. Andrews will give us a discount since we are doing 2 at the same time.

This is why you can't ever have enough starting pitching. I've always felt that Wheeler would be the disappointment of the new crop of pitchers. Hope he comes back strong. Gee holds down the fort until the young guns are ready.
