  1. Just tuned in. Are we being no fucking hit by the Marlins???
  2. This team is so much fun. They definitely have a run in them!
  3. Yeah. I watched from like the 4th inning on. I think there were two hits. Iglesias erased immediately by a double play. The other was a two out single by Marte. Just a waste of time.
  4. Would let Iglesias hit for himself here. No one left but Torrens for the last two innings.
  5. Such a strange schedule quirk. Today is June 11. The Mets will play just their third night game of the month. I wonder if we've had a stretch like that before.
  6. I think this thread title is the motto for the year.
  7. Logic: 300 PAs of .600-ish OPS prior to this year was definitely not enough of a sample size to draw any conclusions. But i think the 67 PAs this year is conclusive. Vientos is going to be a star.
  8. I think you were saying something about the wins being hard.
  9. Again. Great work. I was saying the other day that I can't remember the last time the Mets won a game where they scored early and then tacked on to win a laugher. Seems like there hasn't been one in at least a month. Even the Florida win was close until late. And if I remember correctly, came the day after blowing a big lead. So even with the insurance runs I didn't feel very insured.

I would have guessed, based on the number of key runs he's driven in, that his number would have been higher. But, again, this takes in the totality of Bader's ABs which, as the numbers imply, more than negatively compensate for the handful of hi-light ones. And as I type this Lindor & Baty flail in consecutive ABs with runners on 1st & 2nd. Those ABs count too even if it's not the 9th
  11. The Mets are now 20th in runs scored. 22nd in OPS. On the pitching side, they are 16th in team ERA, and 23rd in WHIP. So in a nutshell, the games are no fun because we don't score runs, and our hitting isn't good enough to suggest that we should be scoring more runs. On the other hand, our pitching gives up an average number of runs, but there's tons of baserunners, so each inning we're afraid the other team will get that one big hit that will put the game out of reach for our anemic offense. Good times.
  12. Great analysis. I felt like it was bad, but didn't realize it was this bad. On top of everything else, this team seems to struggle making productive outs.
  13. They've lost the first two games of the series. So by law, they are allowed to win the third one.
  14. I moved onto Wolves-Mavs. No point in ruining my night cursing at the TV.
  15. Enjoyed a great holiday weekend of not watching the Mets. Debating whether or not to turn the game on now.
  16. Things were supposed to get better once the math-challenged Wilpons were replaced by the highly analytical Cohen regime. Somehow, the hitting got even worse. I don't have any idea what the process is, but it's not working and hasn't been working for years.

  18. Just tuning in. Hey let's get a hit here.
  19. Funny. Endy's attorney is a law school buddy of mine. We bailed class more than a few times to catch a day game.
  20. The team is awful. Not much help on the horizon from the farm. We are far enough into the Cohen regime that he bears responsibility.
  21. Yeah I'm out on this team. The grand slam didn't even get me mad. Was expecting some kind of bullshit the whole time. Maybe some kids will come up and make a difference. But this team can go fuck off.
  22. If Taylor gets the boot maybe they call up Trayce Thompson. He's been raking in Syracuse. I was going to suggest bringing back Jose Butto. But I think he just pitched the other night. I'm guessing they do nothing.
  23. Hey, just tuned in. We have a lead!
