I think that's something cool that a national broadcast can do. It's just that they're something different every single inning. Mic up the player. Mic up the manager. In game interview with someone in the crowd. Everything but the game.
  2. I hate the in game mic. Can we fucking score please.
  3. James Jean having as rough a night as the Mets bats. We'll take it I guess.
  4. Interesting strategy to give the Rockies the extra inning runner to start each inning.
  5. Frayed Knot wrote: We've been making far too many meh-ish pitchers, replacement pitchers, and middle relievers look very good for about a week now. Missed Monday's game. Which means I've watched four straight games of frustration.
  6. Last place team getting all the big hits tonight. Team has looked flat this whole trip.
  7. This is a stupidly aggravating game.
  8. Edgy MD wrote: Yeah, if you're not watching this game, the Mets have turned two really impressive double-plays. Iglesias and Lindor are something special.
  9. If Mark can play 3B he should stay there. Moving him to 1B takes away from his value. I’m not saying we have to resign Pete. Just that there’s no reason to leave defensive talent on the shelf.
  10. Gotta say. I don't know what Stearns sees in Blackburn. Nothing in his stats suggests he's any good. If he hits on this he must really be able to see things others don't. Hopefully this is not another Houser.
  11. Benjamin Grimm wrote: I've never been proud of that record. Any time a team approaches 120 losses, I root for them to get there. Me too. Years ago some team finished with 119 and won like 3 games at the end to keep them there. That sucked.
  12. Not a good month for division leaders. Or even WC leaders.
  13. Trade for deGrom you cowards
  14. If I have my information right, they can't tell from the imaging if there's just inflammation, or if the ligament has a tear. If it's torn, it's TJ time. If it's not, they hope that rest and rehab will get him back this season. Either way, it's the second year in a row he's had UCL issues. So it kinda feels like TJ surgery is going to be inevitable at some point.
  15. I know I'm probably jinxing things, but I find it almost inconceivable that Atlanta is 21st in runs scored. They've scored one less run than Washington. Their runs scored by month show a hot start, but they've been bad for nearly 3 months now. March: 6th in runs scored April: 11th May: 28th June: 21st July: 22nd Their pitching is still awesome. 3rd in ERA. Their pen is especially good. (2nd overall with a 2.95 ERA). We see their top three starters this series. So it's gonna be a hell of an upgrade after facing that Yankee scrub last night.
  16. Question. Do the offensive stats from tonight count? Or are they discounted cuz it's the scrub Yankees?
  17. Frayed Knot wrote: I beginning to think our pen can hold this one. Maybe.
  18. Well now they suck again.
  19. Can't lose three in a row to the Rockies and Marlins.
  20. Get him out of the game. Jesus Manaea.
  21. 4-0 against the Marlins. I hate the All Star Break.
