  1. Yuge runs out there. JD coming in to PH. I don't think I would have taken Taylor out there. Need his defense.
  2. NOBODY MOVE. EVERYONE STAY IN THE EXACT SAME SPOT DURING THIS COMMERCIAL
  3. Last 16 innings I've hoped the Mets could score in their upcoming at bats. 15 of those have come up empty. We're due.
  4. Wheeler and umpire both tiring. Let's score 8.
  5. =Cowtipper post_id=174166 time=1728165299 user_id=166] I never quite thought it would be necessary to go back in time and kill Hitler, perhaps go back to when he was born, steal him from his parents and give him to more loving parents. It wasn't a given when he was two days old that he'd grow up to be what he did. Anyway, I do agree about going back in time and not letting Wheeler go. And maybe giving Michael Wacha one more year, too.

  7. Not feeling great about the Reed Garret inning.
  8. Looks like 2024 Pete is back. Hopeless flailing.
  9. Fox showing us Wheeler throwing three baseballs at once. Isn't that cheating
  10. On the other hand. Not much on Senga's fastball.
  11. Yup. His stuff is already fading. Just a matter of time.
  12. Omg. The Dykstra HR. Can't believe I forgot that. Agree on your others too but the Piazza HR was a loss. So ultimately I leave it off. Kinda like the Endy catch.
  13. It's funny how much of a role the Milwaukee Brewers had in the story of the 2024 Mets. Unexpected since we only expected to play them 6 times. But they put us down 0-3 to start the season. And though there was plenty that went into that terrible start, it kinda set the tone for the entire first half struggles. Then the two losses to start that last series of the regular season. The Brewers had nothing to play for, but they seemed to be playing with a passion aimed at knocking us out. I even remember wondering if they held some sort of grudge for stealing Stearns. But then after starting 0-5 against the Brewers, the Mets won 3 of the next 4. And here we are. Milwaukee also had that 8 run comeback against the Diamondbacks that proved to be huge. I don't know if they'll be good again. They'll likely lose Adames. They have some young pitching, but their strength was a bullpen of non-name brand guys. You wonder if that performance can be replicated next year.
  14. Biggest HRs in Met History. Off the tope of my head. Not in any particular order. 1. 1986 WS Game 7. Ray Knight. Gave the Mets the lead 2. 1986 WS Game 7. Darry Strawberrry. (next inning)? Extended lead to 7-5. 3. 1999 NLDS. Todd Pratt game winner 4. 1999 NLDS. Game 1. Edgardo Alfonso GS off Bobby Choiunard 5. 1999 NLCS. Robin Ventura Grand Slam Single 6. 2000 NLDS. Benny Agbayani walkoff 7. 2024. Lindor vs. Atlanta, game 161 8. 2024 WC Game 3. Alonso beats Brewers 9. 2001. vs. Braves. Piazza first game after 9/11 10. 2015 NLDS Game 5. Murphy beats Greinke and Dodgers 11. 2015 NLCS Game 2. Murphy 1st inning against Arrieta
  15. So you figure if Senga can get stretched out a little in Game 1, he'd be ready for hopefully a normal-ish start if it goes 5. I'm down.
  16. I think Baty only makes the team if Winkers back is bad.
  17. As much as I'm looking forward to these games, I'm so glad we get an off day. Not just for them, for us. I'm serious. I'm not sure I'm cut out for post-season baseball.
  18. 2024 Mets Revenge Tour: Reg. Season: Atlanta. Because duh. Atlanta WC: Milwaukee: Rhys Hoskins. The first series of the season, the last series of the season. NLDS: Philadelphia. 2007, 2008 NLCS: SD. WC 2022 WS: KC. WS 2015
  19. Of course rooting against the Yankees. It's kinda strange that I'm actively hoping to rematch the Royals in the WS but I'd want no part of a rematch with the Yankees.
  20. Let's hope this trend continues.
