  1. Traveling Wilburys.
  2. Not only did you get the New Edition part, but you got the Original in there as well. I really thought this one would last longer. Well played, TransMonk.
  3. All homered in their first MLB at-bat, Charles?
  4. Polka-dot chick is kind of intriguing. The other three look skanky and unappealing.
  5. Oh, well. Back to the Mystery Machine.
  6. The first five homered in their first Metly at bat, and Mota, while pitching for another team, (guessing) gave up a home run to someone making his first Metly at bat???
  7. Well done, TransMonk.
  8. Reid Gore-nelius
  9. Here we go (sorry theyre not all in Mets unis):
  10. Jenny, Jenny is the one for CF.
  11. ](basically, I don't anticipate more than about 25 starts from Pedro, Schilling or El'Duque so to maximize their effeciency setup the pitching staff so that none of them are overburdened)... vtmet, Saying you only expect 25 starts from all three of them would suggest that maybe it's not such a hot idea to bring Schilling in, especially when you don't know when they'll miss those starts. I've had two years of El Duque not pitching when we needed him most. I don't want to have to worry about three of those guys this year.
  12. Jason Hack o me
  13. Rube Walker Mel Stottlemyre Joe Pignatano Roy McMillan Rube and Mel because of how they handled their respective staffs; Roy because he was seemingly a coach forever; and Joe because in team pictures I always recognized him.
  14. Two of them are wearing #17.
  15. I don't think Wally's getting that chance any time soon, and it's too bad. Backman managing a crummy team like the Pirates has the potential for comedy gold. I wasn't aware of trouble in the White Sox system. I thought he left them when he didn't get the job with the big club. My biggest issue with the whole thing is that Backman's problems were not exactly a secret. And if it's not a problem to manage in their system, it shouldn't be a problem to manage the big club.
  16. That article must be mistaken. It said Gene Walter pitched 2 shutout innings.
  17. Let's throw Tommy Davis in there as well.
  18. CB Bucknor (13) is N. That's all I got. [edit: Sorry, didn't read the rules. It's still all I got]
  19. Gil Hodges Duke Snider Yogi Berra Willie Mays Mickey Lolich
  20. Watching that I felt really bad for Rube Walker.
  21. Kal Daniels probably goes in the feh category. And I'd probably bump Matt Williams over Mickey Rivers.
  22. But it is potential. The numbers you quote are minor league numbers. LM's big league #s: G: 115 AB: 350 RS: 41 HR: 11 RBI: 51 2B: 16 SB: 4 AVG: .257 OBP: .326 SLG: .414 OPS: .741
  23. ]I kind of see a lot of Gary Sheffield in Lastings Not at the plate, you don't.
  24. The Scioscia HR seems criminally low, as do the walkoffs of both Dykstra and Edmonds (why are they 29 and 31 but Ozzie Smith 5?). The Garvey and Monday HRs should be higher as well, in my opinion.
