Question: with the Shea finale being an afternoon game, are the Mets planning their ceremonies for before the game or after? In theory, there should be at least the removal of the last number for the postgame. I think they've been tightlipped about it, but I like the idea of a cermony once all the games are complete.

I promise I did not watch all the pregame stuff they had. I only saw the tail end. Question: With all the history of that franchise, Bernie Williams is the last former player they introduce? Really? At least six hall of famers were announced before him.

Postseason Odds from Baseball Prospectus

I guess I just don't understand how they calculate their odds. The Mets and Phils have the same number of losses with the Phils having played one more game. Why are the odds almost 2-1 in favor of Philly winning the division? Throw in the fact that in a tie, the Mets would win (assuming Mil. is out of it). -
