And actually it may be five but I didn't see the other so I don't know where that one landed. As a pitcher said in either Ball Four or The Long Season (don't remember which one), when he visited a bandbox stadium for the first time, "They should drop a bomb on second base and blow the fences back to where they belong". 5. Callaway announced that he will start Reyes at shortstop, alongside Wright, on Sept 29th. Memo to Terry.: Don't start a "ground ball" pitcher that day. Later

  7. bmfc1 wrote: I hope never to see Paul Sewald again except pitching for another team. He should be removed from the 40 man roster, forcibly if necessary. Today’s highlight was in the 7th inning when the numerous 7-line fans at the game started a “Yankees suck” chant to the approval of the Red Sox Nation. Later
  8. Time to ask the question again. Why did they take out Oswalt? Later
  9. Vic Sage wrote: The same is metaphorically true of a Mets season, with only a few exceptions. Met-a-Four run support is all they will need, with the way they have been pitching. Later
  10. Edgy MD wrote: I hereby name the dugout guest "Todd Ratt." It must have been Roger Clemens' pet. Later
  11. I tell 'ya, the season is too short. Add a coupla' more games to the schedule and the Mets will make the playoffs. Later

  13. I was away and just got home. Did he actually say he would retire, or are his plans beyond Sept 29 still unclear/ not specified at this point? Later

  15. It's a doubleheader. Evahbody plays. I understand that even Terry Malloy is going to be available out of the bullpen in game 2 She played Terry Malloy in Out For Justice. (1991) https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0924204/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t60 Later

Many reports I've read come close to comparing the Oakland Alameda County Stadium to Dante's Seventh Circle of Hell (or was it the other way around?). Marlins Park is lower than THAT? Wow! Later

The link didn't work. He went through two simulated innings at the plate against Anthony Swarzak and Tim Peterson and two simulated innings fielding grounders at third base. It will be interesting to see what he can do against good pitchers. Later
  24. Gsellman is showing he's a true closer. They don't pitch well when they come in with a big lead. Libros, though. Later
