1. I went stupid trying to think of a Anderson HOFer.
2. No way!!! Sec 213, Row 5. We are flying in the morning and rushing to Wrigs.
3. I need to keep up the appearance of hope until Friday when we have tickets to see Walker Lockett pitch at Wrigley. Then maybe we'll give up.
4. Frank Thomas O'Malley too
5. I don't give up yet. I think I will if/when this road trip goes the way it looks it will. Really this series could damage us beyond hope. There's not post 7/31 Trade Deadline so the join-or-die activity is starting earlier. Of course the Mets are typically late actors.
6. uh, Frank Robinson Cano.
7. King Kelly Stinnett
8. George Brett Butler
9. I picked up the paper this morning And read all the daily blues The world is one big tragedy I wonder what I can do About all the pain and injustice About all of the sorrow We're living in a danger zone The world could end tomorrow But I'm not gonna let it bother me tonight The Atlanta Rhythm Section was what their name indicated they were, a studio band based in Atlanta that among other things backed Roy Orbison. They were Southern but not Southern Rock per se, nice mellow rockin groove with their best stuff. They are one of those workaday groups that put out 1 album a year for 10 straight years, 1972-1981. Consider this a prelude to their forthcoming Desert Island Mix Tape. deGrom is pitching, I think
10. Jackie Robinson Cano
11. What gets me about Lowry is that we didn;t even need the guys, except as a means of indirectly getting rid of Frazier. And the Mets of course wouldn't dare. Were Lowry here we'd all be watching McNeil hit 400 at Syracuse
12. Wheels should hit, Davis should pitch
13. Bad night to be listening on the boombox
14. He had a foot or ankle issue warming up just prior to the start.
15. We've been a putrid road team so far and really cannot afford another bad trip. I guarantee it will be Mickey's last if so.
16. That last crack is Goldschmidt who obviously hits one to the Shake Shack.
17. Edgy MD wrote: You like your horizontals. I like horizontals. Seems like you can do a lot more with action shots. I was at the game where Gooden is rounding third. I agree on the horizontals. On the 74 set (see Matlack above) they were so much more dramatic, not just because of the action picture but because it altered the broken up banner team reveal into a single sentence: NEW YORK METS.
18. I think we're going to get Flexen for the save, so let's put some more points on the board
