  1. Well, tie game again. Let's watch Matz return serve
  2. Matz determined to prove his first inning wasn't worthless enough, pops up a 2 on, 0 out bunt in the second
  3. Healy: Hey, Mick, I'm going to grab a cuppa. Can I get you something? Mickey: Yeah, you can get me a cup of go fuck yourself, dickwad. Healy: Uh, right. Sugar with that? Mickey: Sugar with THIS, asshole

Callaway: Yeah, I went with your mother, Douchebag. She didn't watch. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Healey: Thanks for your time, Mickey. Callaway: Yeah? How 'bout you come back and say that while you're eating my ass out, you fucking little shit! This should go viral
  5. Well I think Mickey was unnerved by the questioning and interpreted the "see ya tomorrow" remark as a flippant and passive-aggressive comment on his unraveling job security. OTOH, Mickey is apparently managing tonight which makes me think he can perhaps get away with still more. Miurder?
  6. Not for nothing but the idea that Mickey is under control from some analytics overlord is a laugh. Nobody can even name who that'd be. Mickey is under influence from Brodie, who's taking orders from Omar, who's taking orders from Fred is more like it, though I doubt Fred is that closely aligned with the in-game. That's why I think it's more of a Fred/Omar/Brodie-to-Mickey message: Let's not let it get out that Diaz has a dead arm/forthcoming PED suspension/shoulder issue requiring extra rest.
  7. More likely (in my mind) the Mets are trying to hide some physical ailment with Diaz they don't wanna talk about
  8. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/teamstats/roster.php?y=1965&t=NYNhttp://www.baseball-almanac.com/teamstats/roster.php?y=1965&t=NYN According to Baseball Reference, but not MBTN or UMDB, Larry Miller of the Mets wore #16 for at least a part of the 1965 season. I bring this up because on June 27, 1965, Larry Miller relieved Al Jackson (#15). This would probably be the Mets record for the lowest total of consecutive numbered pitchers to appear consecutively in ascending uniform number order if Miller wore #16 on that date. Both MBTN and UMDB assign #16 exclusively to Danny Napoleon for '65. FWIW, Napoleon did not appear in that June game. Also, according to all of these sources, Napoleon wore no other uniform number as a Met (or with any other team being that he never played for any other MLB team). OE Napoleon debuted in the Mets 2nd game of the '65 season, and as far as I can tell, was on the roster all season. Plus, he played the game before and after Miller relieved Jackson. So it appears unlikely that this game set the low number record. But youse number people might wanna look into this Miller 16 stuff. on it
  9. My first thought is, this is how one acts when it's cool with them to hang out with the Trump clan during spring training. But I mean what else do you need
  10. Ah, fukit. See you tomorrow in Wrigley
  11. Dom Smith batting, 2 outs, 1 on. He gets on and McNeil is the tying run.
  12. The Twins are having a lot of success with their guy... Jeremy Heffner
  13. If we don't hit into 3 DPs we'd only lose the lead this inning instead of 2 innings ago
  14. JDD pinch hitting here in the 4th as the tying run. Not giving up yet!!!
  15. He was good only in the beginning
  16. Spell check turns Lockett into Lickety
  17. That was a rockett off Lickety. Poor guy looked like deGrom for 2 innings anyway
  18. I'm reading a bio by guitarist Steve Lukather of Toto now. He was saying how producer David Foster basically bogarted Chicago out from under them, co-writing with Cetera and going as far as to hire the Toto guys to play on those albums 16-19 or whatever
  19. Some guy on twitter remarked Regan would be the oldest guy in uniform at the 69 reuinion weekend
  20. Lefty Specialist wrote: Phil Regan is 82 years old. Just saying. I'll give you one guess as to who named the new coach.
  21. wOw. Who are the replacements?
  22. Wouldn't it be funny if Jeff never really wanted any of this and he was just doing it because his dad made him? One can hope. Hi, I'm Bradley Wilpon, the 3rd generation owner of the Mets. I'm a Penn graduate working on Wall Street now but when my grandfather passes away expect my dad Jeff to overlook lots of more qualified candidates and install me as COO before I'm out of my 20s. With any luck, I'll be Wilponning this club through the 100th anniversary of the 1969 club! https://pennathletics.com/images/2016/6/14//20160614162212_ocvadxwlzdvoebo_20140916200803.jpg>
