  1. Take him out Mickey. Lets see some Walker Lockett action
  2. Matz tempted to Matz this up already
  3. Whoa, Ray thinks he's Matz
  4. 1966 Comics Batgirl was pretty thick as compared to Typewriter Chewing Gum/TV Batgirl. I thought black was supposed to have a slimming effect but put me in purple
  5. What the Mets ought to be doing -- now and all the time -- is investing in guys who can be expected to set up an office on the upper floors and sign a reasonable three-year lease and leave them there till they need them over at the Chrysler Building, where the starters work, or in the NYSE, where they go to get traded profitably. Instead they rent the penthouse to the most expensive guys at a loss and fill the rest of the roles with an army of entry-level numbnutses who come in off the subway, embarrass themselves during the Christmas Party, and do generally shit work that distracts the rest of the employees.
  6. Nice outfield upper-deck restaurant area but it faces directly into the setting sun before gametime and nearly blinded me. Looks much better from behind the play (trees, rocks etc). Coupla decent beer-before-the-game joints in the surrounding neighborhood.
  7. Ray threw himself into a blister last time out. Matz faced AZ back in June, gave up 2 first-inning HRs and lost.
  8. Edgy MD wrote: =41Forever post_id=21477 time=1568167845 user_id=69] Brain freeze by Pete on that one. But at least he got one. I think the catcher has to be telling him where to throw.
  9. I will be there tonight and the last Tuesday home game of the year which I think is the Marlins in 2 weeks. Also getting dragged to Friday's Dodgers games with some work people
  10. Tuesday Night Mets Club reuniting at this one, we'll be in 407. It's basically win out from here, right?
  11. What's the deal with Merchant Marines anyway. Are they merchants, or marines? WTF
  12. Just looking this over reminds me how the Mickey Era Mets are seemingly the most unprepared team in the league, simply not ready to compete till its too late
  13. I think the Mets generally are more foolish than calculated. I also think they've been headed to divorce with Syndypaants for awhile. He is one of their most marketable assets, in part because his rep exceeds his actual results, and in part because his results represent a mix of being really great some nights but not all, with the notion of turning some to all really tantalizing. Syndergaard is also an Alderson guy, there's fewer champions for him. Finally he was a guy acquired in a trade, and guys who get traded tend to get traded.
  14. He should sue the Mets --Ambler
  15. Was lucky to miss this one almost entirely. Did Century bike ride and was shocked to discover it was still on when I returned home. I only saw B9. Had tying run with Alfonso and Conforto. That's not nothing
  16. Stroman is not very good
  17. Better Jed than dead
  18. Welcome back, Maury. This probably isn;t what you're looking for but: http://archives.thecranepool.net/24500/f1_t24511.shtmlhttp://archives.thecranepool.net/24500/f1_t24511.shtml
  19. So we watched this last night. Lunchpail lollled a lot. So did I. Wifey you could tell wanted to hate it but was won over by the charm of the characters. Very predictable flick but nonetheless I was stunned what happened to Jynnky. The best part deliberating the band name. Was dying
