  3. Has 18 pitches. I would have liked to have had that kinda guy on staff. Not to go all Steve Phillips on you but looks like there are several teams not going to try this season, good starters will be available this summer
  4. I'd totally enroll the Cheetos at den dekker U
  5. And no matter what those rules are both sides will do they can to brush up against their permissible limits.
  6. Yeah those dumb comments gave Kelenic more than enough to go on believing they're screwing him whether they are or they're not. That's really the problem with the structure they've agreed to, you're always going to want to take best advantage of the rules and it'll make you look bad at times. I think this also gives us a not-so-great look into the kinda guy Kelenic might be, and I wonder if he's not more than a little douchey irl. I recall getting a real jocky vibe from the start and have always wondered the extent to which perception of his personality might have played a role in the Mets giving him up. I think it's possible for example, he made a bad impression on Fred negotiating his signing deal or something.
  7. Geez
  8. Yeah these all pretty much sucked
  9. Metly Long Island 10) Maysapequea 9) Valdespin Stream 8) Baldwin 7) Lennytown 6) Centenoport 5) Bethkepage 4) Nadylon 3) Fyrie Island 2) Mikehmapton 1) Boisclair Bay
  10. Not for from Cammack
  11. I'd take the good with the bad, the way I always do
  12. He played in Kollege some evidently. I'm sure he won't be Brooks Robinson out there but if I'm honest with myself his performance last year hasn't convinced me he'll necessarily be Pete Alonso at first either
  13. Alonso taking grounders at third, Snooze reports. Great idea, Johnny Luncbucket reports
  14. =G-Fafif post_id=56863 time=1614202024 user_id=55] That is a fun article. Every one of those writeups gave me a little late-season every-pitch-matters rush. God, baseball can be great.
  15. He had a kind of big home run if I recall correctly and seemed to enjoy the trip around the bases. here it is: https://www.mlb.com/yankees/video/guillermo-heredia-homers-1-on-a-fly-ball-to-center-fieldhttps://www.mlb.com/yankees/video/guillermo-heredia-homers-1-on-a-fly-ball-to-center-field
  16. Both on Dyer's hit where he takes a bad route and seems to slow up, and on Hodges hit where he starts tip-toeing and almost lets the ball by him. Stargell was the left fielder after all, now that I check, but the guy who didn't make either play
  17. No they didn't have to win the world series, just the one play in the regular season that resulted in the largest percentage increase that they could win the world series. I also suspected the Ball on the wall play but wasn't precise enough. Look at the video-- and I'm shocked what a terrible center fielder Willie Stargell was. Geez Louise
  18. This is a fun article that looks at the biggest regular season moment for every team as measured by "Championship Win Probability Added" -- or plays that have had the biggest positive effect on each team's chances of winning the World Series. I'll spoil it for you and reveal Bobby Thompson and Bucky Dent are near the top of course but before you click over, can you guess the Mets' biggest play ever? The time and place didn't surprise me but the hero did. http://www.highheatstats.com/2021/02/theres-a-long-drive-the-biggest-regular-season-play-for-every-franchise/http://www.highheatstats.com/2021/02/theres-a-long-drive-the-biggest-regular-season-play-for-every-franchise/
  19. Interesting story of his uni number, grew up wearing 44 --> traded to AZ (Paul Goldschmidt wore 44 so took 99) --> traded to TOR, Ryu has 99, so goes to 00 --> signs with mets, Mr Met has 00, agrees on 99
  20. Yup Trax is the undisputed all-time Mets 29
  21. I liked his 2019. In retrospect, catching COVID wasn't good for his career. Wore #29 as many before him did, and many more will.
  22. Edgy MD wrote: A problem with learning how to behave online is the historical utter lack of consequences. Trevor, yeah, doesn't seem to know a lot about consequences. I think it can be argued that online douchiness in fact raised Bauer's profile to an extent, and is reflected in the millions he's earning. If you have the goods, and your self-promotion helps to make the case you do, there's little that can't be gotten away with. The message is, I'm so fucking great at what I do I can be a dick
  23. Kimball only gets one little background yowl in too.
  24. That Toto song is just too wussy.
