I'm all for the fun of cards that never were, and other DIY stuff, but it does seem a bit out of control when the maker decides to have some fun by replacing a graded card, and do it up in a funky way.

IIRC, there used to be four AAA Leagues, the International, Pacific Coast, American Association and Mexican. Was the Mexican League not co-equal? Later That's considered a total for North America record.

I can't imagine Crash Davis dealing with the record being splashed all over the internet, if Bull Durham was set today.

This thread needs Tommy Lasorda's opinion of Kingman's performance! [youtube:d8h68yow]http://youtu.be/ul3UT0CwRnM[/youtube:d8h68yow]

That's how they've been doing Archives since the brand started. Every so often they'll cross the time streams with card style and card photo.

Where did you get the Gorman DIY? Out of those on the 1981 Expos Postseason Roster, Gorman is the only one sans a card of him in an Expo uni. Not even in Expo team sets!

Blame the nominating committee for the All Century Team in 1999 and him being able to appear at Fenway for the All Star Team, and then the fans that voted him as one of the 2nd basemen for that team, which pressured baseball to make him be a part of the unveiling during a World Series game at Atlanta that year.

By my count, out of the 8 players replaced on the rosters, 4 on each team, only Giancarlo Stanton, Miguel Cabrera, Alex Gordon, and Jose Bautista didn't make the trip.

Though to be fair, a lot of those mid 1980s retail box sets (IIRC, Topps and Fleer were the only ones that trotted them out) did have questionable selections in terms of matching up to whatever the set was called. League Leader, Rising Stars, Young Stars, etc. Alvarado was done with the majors for about 10 years when that league leaders set came out. LOL! There is that as well!

I don't have anything that can be considered an app and I don't understand what I'm installing. So instagram is not a web-site, but a program? Who knows what the deal is? Its a social media platform meant for mobile devices as an application, not really meant as a website.

Scroll down to Amazin69's post, has an evolution of exposure techniques he did to make the gray of Martinez' uni appear white. http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/board/ootp-mods-rosters-photos-quick-starts/184046-gambo-t_wil1-photopack-841.html

Where's the enhanced photo? Also, do you want your Bob Miller '73 Padres card? If not, I'll give it to somebody else. Its on the forum thread that I grabbed that image from. IDK how that particular one ended up in the picture Edgy grabbed for his reply, as the "original" in the thread does show Martinez in greys. Sure, shoot me it as a PM, thanks!

I'm guessing either Grieve or Youngblood.

Herb Washington was designated pinch-runner on the 1974 and 1975 Oakland A's. Owner Charlie Finley sought to revolutionize the game by signing a track star to not so much play baseball but channel his talent into baseball. I still don't know if it was a good idea, but it was cool as hell that someone like that endured on a major league roster as long as he did, at least while he was doing so. Also The Panamanian Express, Allan Lewis, whom is a Toppsless Athletic, despite being the first official Designated Runner for Finley's A's.

And at least one rare one as an Angel as documented by this Upper Deck card, hard to really determine, but I don't think that is a Spring Training shot.

He was a fringe reliever pitcher from 20 years ago, and so would never be on a Topps Heritage card, or probably any card at all. Oddly enough, Fyhrie is a cardless Met, and a Toppless player all together! http://www.tradingcarddb.com/Person.cfm/pid/28774/col/1/yea/0/Mike-Fyhrie?sTeam=&sCardNum=&sNote=&sSetName=&sBrand=

Hamilton was on the short list of potential replacements for Wayne Hagin. I caught him doing a spring MLB.com broadcast or two, and he filled the air nicely. Couldn't help but think of how Phil Hartman was killed by his wife, who then killed herself.
