This'll be Heilman's third consecutive day pitching. Guess he's good for 1, maybe 2 innings.
-
Maybe Cornelius could steal one. Pretty sure he said "oh, yeah" yesterday when asked if the Mets would run on Piazza...
-
I think Hoffman's coming in for the Padres. OE: Entering to "I Love Rock 'N Roll" rather than "Hell's Bells" (not a save situation)
-
I Duaner.

I still have a bad feeling about this game. Maybe Delgado or Wright can hit one out, I don't think our offense has it tonight.

I'd really like to pinch-hit for Chavez here but I don't think Wille will have Woodward playing center...
-
Howie Rose says (w/o an official medical update) that Beltran is available to pinch-hit tonight.
-
Howie Rose was speculating that he can't throw his curveball for strikes, and if he gets control of it he'd be a lot better pitcher.
-
9 in a row retired by Williams. Offense, paging offense, please pick up the nearest red courtesy phone...
-
95 pitches, Oliver warming up. I think Bannister either gets out of the inning...or gets taken out.
-
So much for stealing off Piazza....Lo Duca's been even worse.
-
Brian Bannister...graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Al Leiter school of pitching, circa 2003-2004. That's an amazing stat though. I wonder what Elias would have to say about that.
-
Alright, what'd I miss here...I see Bannister is up to his usual tricks. 7 LOB, 72 pitches through 4 innings.
-
"I'd like it to be New York," Piazza said. Piazza on the HOF plaque.

Do we see Franco in the field on a double-switch? Edit: Still no sign of Julio's glove. Heilman pitching.
-
Getting awfully close to Julio time...

Nymr83 wrote: I would think Sanchez is staying in... Not with Franco pinch-hitting for him. Heilman, I would think.

FRANCO!!!

I sure as hell don't want to see Jose Valentin batting for the pitcher. Woodward or Castro, please.
