I had forgotten about the contract change. In 2006, however, the playoff games are exclusively on ESPN (or ESPN2) and FOX.

Astros got one back in the top of the 7th. Had 1st and 2nd with no outs but couldn't get the tying runs in.

The only TBS game is the potential one-game playoff, Cardinals at Houston, which would be Tuesday.

Only if there was an injury or Trachsel can't go.

On the pregame show, Willie spoke of "rewarding" his regulars. I wonder about keeping Reyes out to preserve that .300 average. I suspect that could be a consideration.

I'd be really pissed if I was an Oakland fan. 10:00 AM? You've got to be kidding me.

Yes, once. Mets vs. Braves, May 30, 2003. Maddux won. UMDB Link

I don't think so, I think it only affects that particular series, as it'll clearly be the Central Winner vs. West Winner. Shouldn't be a TV issue either, as FOX has already designated Twins/Tigers vs. Yankees as their primary series.

I'm rooting for that too. See Here

Los Angeles and San Diego both win, clinching playoff spots. Philadelphia elminated. San Diego has the tiebreaker, so San Diego can clinch the division with a win tomorrow. Houston gets 3 unearned runs off the Braves in the top of the 9th and go head to stave off elimination for one more day. St. Louis can clinch with a win.

There was a discussion about Pedro at Shea during some game this year in which one of the guys sitting near me said "they should just activate him after the all-star break each year." Little did he know. I wonder if we might eventually see something on the order of Mr. Heilman and Mr. Martinez switching roles.

St. Louis defeats Milwaukee, 3-2. Cincinatti has been eliminated. St. Louis' magic number to clinch is down to 1.

Thursday shoud be less of a problem, as there are no AL games on Thursday. Thursday would probably be: 4 PM or 10 PM St. Louis at San Diego 7 PM Los Angeles at New York
  22. Gwreck
I'd put it at 70%. I believe I've seen it reported elsewhere that the Mets v. West Coast would get the primetime slot on Wednesday, even if it pushes the Yankees to the afternoon.
  23. Gwreck
Right. I still can't figure out what they're intending to do. I think the most recent edit is the most likely, although I'll keep udating this as info. becomes available. I started by using the tenative TV schedule that was put out, but I think that will clearly change.
  24. Gwreck
I just edited, see above. Not sure what they're going to do.

Disclaimer: EARLY projection Tuesday 4 PM ? - Oakland at Detroit, ESPN 8 PM - Minnesota at New York, FOX Time TBD - 10 PM? - St. Louis at San Diego, ESPN Fox is already advertising that ALDS Game 1 at Yankee Stadium will be the primetime game... Wednesday 1 PM ? - Minnesota at New York, FOX (?) 4 PM - Oakland at Detroit, ESPN 7 PM - Los Angeles at New York, ESPN ...but the Wednesday schedule seems to be a problem. None of these games can be played at 10 PM, and "probably" not at 1 PM, either.
