  1. If Joe Buck says "Murderer's Row and Cano" one more time I'm going to Yankee Stadium to personally strangle him. Strange night that he's more annoying than McCarver....so far.
  2. Now if only my playoff prediction will come true...
  3. Tough call on whether to put Dave Williams, Perez, or Bannister on the roster instead of El Duque (if that's necessary). The above order is my order of preference.
  4. Yancy Street Gang wrote: There are no weekday day games scheduled for the NLCS or ALCS, so tomorrow's game might be the only one we'll have to sneak out of work to attend or watch on TV. Nope, there are two potential weekday NLCS Games: Game 1 - time is still TBD. If the Yankees and Mets are both playing, that would put ALCS Game 2 and NLCS Game 1 in the same city on the same day. This could force one of the games into the daytime hours. That's on Wednesday, October 11. Game 6 - time scheduled for 4 PM. If the ALCS doesn't go to 7 games, then the game would move to 8 PM. That's Wednesday, October 18.
  5. Here's the projected Dodgers postseason roster: [u:e887cea440]Starters[/u:e887cea440] Derek Lowe Hong-Chi Kuo Greg Maddux Brad Penny [u:e887cea440]Relievers[/u:e887cea440] Takashi Saito Jonathan Broxton Joe Beimel Chad Billingsley Mark Hendrickson Brett Tomko Aaron Sele could make his way on to the roster if Penny can't start. Look for Hendrickson or Billingsley to get the boot in that case. [u:e887cea440]Catchers[/u:e887cea440] Russell Martin Toby Hall [u:e887cea440]Infielders[/u:e887cea440] Nomar Garciaparra Jeff Kent Wilson Betemit Rafeal Furcal James Loney Julio Lugo Ramon Martinez Olmedo Saenz [u:e887cea440]Outfielders[/u:e887cea440] Marlon Anderson Kenny Lofton JD Drew Andre Ethier Jason Repko
  6. From the Postseason Live: Mary Noble: Mets in 5 Ed Coleman: Mets in 4 Ron Darling: Mets in 4 Gary Cohen: Mets in 3
  7. Can't wait either. (!!)
  8. Pretty sure that's wrong. Answer is Randy Johnson, 2002 Diamondbacks.
  9. Beltran 10 Reyes 9 Wright 8 Delgado 7 Wagner 6 Sanchez 5 Bradford 4 Chavez 3 LoDuca 2 Feliciano 1
  10. ="SteveJRogers"]Wednesday I'm stuck with Game 2 at Yankee Stadium ?? Nobody's making you go to Yankee playoff games.
  11. Despite Trevor Hoffman's best efforts (2 solo homers allowed in the bottom of the 9th to let Arizona bring it to 7-6) the Padres win, so we face the Dodgers in the first round.

  14. Kenny Rogers in relief for the Tigers. I wouldn't count out the Royals yet.
  15. SteveJRogers wrote: In facts, fans should get refunded even IF the game is played! MFY do that and I think the Mets do as well The Yankees don't offer refunds. They offer exchanges for the current season or next. The Mets have offered exchanges for games but not refunds in some bad weather situations.
  16. Edit: Duplicate.
  17. SteveJRogers wrote: Then that makes me want to hate the Sox even more than I already do! How about tix for a 2007 game or something Tougher to do, given the way they sell out every game each season. Lot of people wouldn't get seats of equivalent value.
  18. Seems like a raw deal for Perez, I think. He wasn't lifted for being ineffective. I think given his 4 innings, he should get the discretionary win.
  19. metirish wrote: Well Steve there are the fans to think about. Replace "fans" with "money" and you've got it. If they don't play, the Red Sox have to issue refunds for a sold-out game.
  20. Detroit / KC going to the bottom of the 9th, still tied. Tigers clinch the division (and face Oakland) with a win. Minnesota leading CHW 4-1 in the 7th, they face the Yankees as Wild Card unless they win and Tigers lose.
  21. KC took a lead but a Matt Stairs HR tied it back up for the Tigers. Minnesota still winning.
  22. The Royals just tied up the Tigers in the top of the 8th, and the Twins are now leading in the bottom of the 5th.
  23. SteveJRogers wrote: In Pedro's spot in the roster ...which was filled by John Maine. Steve, here's the postseason roster. Unless you're advocating that they take 12 pitchers and only 13 position players, who would you leave off?
