  1. ]King said Randazzo also made contact with him, although that couldn't be verified through replay because the game wasn't televised or taped. wow, really? what if the pitcher had thrown a perfect game, there'd have been no footage?
  2. Zvon wrote: .....I would imagine they are gonna have to keep that rook around when Nady gets back. i don't think milledge stays up if everyone is healthy in the outfield, they want him getting at bats every day and thats probably the right hting.
  3. Edgy DC wrote: Heck yeah I'm surprised to see Glavine hit here. Not that he can't hit, but... Reyes out, Floyd out. the bench tonight is 3 guys....might as well let glavine hit this early
  4. Cruz homers... Glavine has got nothing tonight, its bullpen time.
  5. KC wrote: Can't always field the nine o'choice. Good teams win with B and C players. Good teams, or rather smart managers, don't give their top hitters an offday when their other top hitters are day-to-day, when reyes/floyd are back in the lineup THEN you give an offday to delgado.
  6. Frayed Knot wrote: Willie: - Reyes: probably tomorrow, available tonight to pinch-run - Cliff: Will most likely miss the Ariz series, are shooting for Tuesday Carlos: sitting out on the same day that reyes and Floyd are hurting because???
  7. ]A voting thread shouldn't have any instructions about who to vote for. The only appropriate comments at the opening of a thread should be the occassional reminder to vote for "Martinez" instead of "Pedro" (thankfully no longer needed) or to remember Orlando Hernandez' first initial. I'd add a qualifier to this- some things (diving catches and other defensive plays as well as baserunning idiocy come to mind) don't appear in the box score, and i have no problem with whoever starts the thread reminding everyone that beltran caught one on a dive or that some shmuck got thrown out at 3rd base trying to stretch a double with nobody out.
  8. not your fault, its not always obvious when someone is kidding around here
  9. i was kidding when i said that, i didn't edit my vote. i think 7 innings of 1 run ball in a 4-1 game deserves 6 points.
  10. Delgado 1.5 Wright 1.5 Woodward 1 Floyd .5 Beltan .5 i'm not feeling too generous.
  11. Elster88 wrote: I think a 5 is a little high (for Soler), but I can see the argument for it. I think 6 is too much. JMHO. i think 5 or 5.5 is about right, but i needed to vote 6 to balance out what i saw as the absurdly low 4's given
  12. You'll be alone the rest of the way, as I'll be listening to the rest of this game as i fall asleep...
  13. Beltran will stay in the game, thank god with Reyes/Floyd hurt
  14. Beltran with a diving catch....and he's hurting!
  15. it's 2-2 on the milledge SF. I hope Floyd is ok
  16. GWRECK, change the title, today is 6/6 not 6/5!
  17. Soler 6 Reyes 1 Delgado 1 Milledge .5 Beltran .5 Bradford 1
  18. i think everything should be stickied until voting is done.
  19. game over. Willie saves the bullpen as Bradford gets the save.
  20. i swear if anyone blows Soler's win this time i'll make them my new Designated Bullpen Scapegoattm, i haven't had one since Julio left.
  21. FUCK. i wanted the shutout
  22. Reyes NOT happy to have struck out.
  23. Soler k's Lofton looking with 2 om to end the threat, it remains 3-0 Mets.
