  1. ]metsmarathon 160) Kaz Matsui SS, 2B 2004 BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! hehehe, too easy
  2. maybe the bandwagoners can go home and we'll win another 8 in a row now.
  3. the WB broadcast is cutting in and out, my other channels are fine... Benson homers off of Pedro!
  4. some people aren't stuck to a specific paper, they'll buy a different one every morning, i suppose the argument is that when one headline says "Milledge feuding with Randolph" and the other one is "Mets lose" more people will buy the first paper. that seems to be how the papers feel at least.
  5. without a doubt, the local news is essentially a report on the criminal activity in the 5 boroughs along with sports and weather.
  6. ] i mean, is heilman really deserving of new whipping boy status? who the heck said anything about turning him into a whipping boy? he was booed for a HORRIBLE performance as he left the field, not the next day or a week later, ]Actually, no. Actually, yes.
  7. yeah, definetaly the playoff thread's fault, my mis-titling the thread shouldnt matter, i'm not the ine who fucked with the baseball gods. as for the booing, thats what happens when you give up 4 runs in an inning, you don't like it? don't pitch for a living.
  8. Elster88 wrote: What is a "soft pitch out"? tossing the ball home rather than gunning it to give the catcher as much time as possible i'd guess, i didnt see the play though
  9. Soler 3 Reyes 2 Bell 1 Delgado .5 Wright .5 Valentin .5 Woodward .5 reyes would have had more but that E was costly
  10. Win streak over. Still, I can't remember being this happy after a loss ever, its nice to have a huge lead isn't it?
  11. pitching well gets you kept in relief because you're good at it, pitching poorly doesnt get you a shot at the rotation. if you're heilman and really want to start you'll have to wait for free agency and sign with a team (Cincinatti? Pitsburgh? Texas?) that will promise to start you.
  12. Reyes can't make the diving catch and its 4-3 Orioles
  13. Soler left after 6. in the 7th, Roberts with an rbi grounder to tie it at 3. wheres the love in the "welcome home" IGT? 11 posts? bah!
  14. Mets lead 3-2 on the Reyes double! Reyes steals 3rd and says "fuck you Patterson, i'm the MLB steals king"
  15. If so he's breaking a record probably held by a Met already, it seems to me like we've had this "problem" of guys in limbo between playing and the DL alot over the last 10 years.
  16. getting a late start to the IGT NO. BALTIMORE NEW YORK 1. B. Roberts, 2B J. Reyes, SS 2. B. Fahey, LF P. Lo Duca, C 3. M. Mora, 3B C. Beltran, CF 4. M. Tejada, SS C. Delgado, 1B 5. R. Hernandez, C D. Wright, 3B 6. C. Patterson, CF J. Valentin, 2B 7. K. Millar, 1B C. Woodward, LF 8. N. Markakis, RF L. Milledge, RF 9. E. Bedard, P A. Soler, P woodward gets an out-of-the-blue start in leftfield, is Fahey their normal LFer or did i not read the KTE? will the Mets continue their in-game batting practice? this little piece of information courtesy of espn.com: "Since posting a 2.77 ERA en route to wins in each of his first four starts in 2006, Bedard has gone 1-6 with a 7.26 ERA in his last 10 starts."
  17. my totals in general are probably higher because i give the full ten points in all wins and probably 75% of the losses as well. not sure how wright alone got so much higher, it may or may not balance out over the season (or i'm wright about his value and you're all wrong...lol)
  18. 19. Hundley was good fpr awhile and you can hardly call Preston Wilson's career a waste. Milledge should end up higher than either of those two as well.
  20. ]T75) Cristian Guzman: 20 (2000) the only post-war season on the list, and Reyes has a shot at catching him. one of the consequences of tiny bandboxes, besides increased homeruns, is a decrease in triples because balls dont have as much room to bounce around anymore

  23. going back to the list from 10 years ago, 1996, i count 47/100 who are still in the game (i could be off by 1 or 2 in either direction as i didnt actually look each guy up.)
