  1. obviously mcewing, unlike peterson, actually CAN fix pitchers in ten minutes.
  2. old mole- how can you deny any points to the guy who hit a 3-run homer to send the game into extra innings? Beltran never comes to the plate and oliver never pitches without Reyes' homer.
  3. i think thats a function of the "auto-draft", i'm not sure how many people were actually there, i couldnt be because of work and my team looks NOTHING like a team i would actually draft. yes this is a bit of whining on my part, but my point is that in every live-draft/auction i've ever done the teams that don't pay attention will inevitably sink to the bottom. oh and i'm not "accusing" anyone of not paying attention, i'm just going by what the above posters said.
  4. he outscored all but reyes and beltran on my list, the other guys who threw a scoreless inning each got one fourth of a point while he got one and one quarter for for innings so he actually got a bonus for the extra work...
  5. Beltran 2 Reyes 1.5 Wright 1 Floyd 1 Matsui .75 Chavez .75 Woodward .75 Oliver 1.25 Julio .25 Sanchez .25 Wagner .25 Bradford .25 i hate giving points to a guy that went one for seven but the homer was huge.
  6. if you click "properties" on martin's red X and then go to the site you can see his kaboom in all it's glory, it's actually a site for what looks like a fake organization, the American Land Mine Association, that is against banning mines because they're cool and blow stuff up (sadly it took me until the part about we should sell mines for use in keeping neighbors pets off our property to get that the site was a joke.)
  7. KABOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. no way does LoDuca start tommorow, i'd guess Floyd sits too. Its possible an infielder sits but unlikely. for the phillies Fasano won't start, wishful thinking is Abreu sits.
  9. haha! take that you fake-hbp bastard! loduca tries to redeem himself with the CS.
  10. Utley "hit by a pitch" while trying to bunt... the loud chanting of "bullshit, bullshit" is quite audible on the radio.
  11. martin wrote: i am busy finding a kaboom graphic on the interweb. i am gonna need it soon. its been my experience that whenever i do that they don't homer
  12. well are you trying to win the game at that point (you've gotta use delgado, presumably the only guy with catching experience) or trying to avoid an injury to your star hitter? i'd put chavez or matsui behind the plate. if the mets lose the world isnt over. if delgado gets hurt playing catcher the season could be in jeopardy depending on the seriousness of the injury.
  13. haha! linedrive DP!
  14. Reyes just misses ending it on a homer and becoming the first hitter to get a "6" from me in the schaeffer this year

  16. es el kaboom!
  17. Willets Point wrote: ="Edgy DC"] Tying run at the plate. Don't tell Jose, he'll swing for the fences. LOL
  18. Gwreck wrote: ="Nymr83"]Traschel wasn't good tonight but he deserved better, he should have only given up 2 runs if loduca could catch. Nope. Can't blame LoDuca, Trachsel wasn't throwing strikes to batters when he had 2 outs. Nobody's fault but his. i said he didnt pitch well, but loduca still needs to make that play.

  20. what are we going to do when milledge comes up? show a blotted out picture of his alledged rape victim? (excuse me if this wasn't milledge and i've got the wrong guy)
  21. ]Agreed. But what about preservation? Lifting Petey after six innings on a wet field so he doesn't get hurt? Making sure you have your star fresh for an upcoming series by lifting him in a blowout? i was talking about relievers really ]Having Sanchez available for back-to-back games by limiting him to one inning on Saturday? why? why not let sanchez go two on saturday if his first inning is great and then use wagner for 2 on sunday instead of (potentially) each guy getting 1 each day?
  22. Edgy DC wrote: That's the real issue to me also. Any time a pitcher enters a game, you take the chance that a guy who isn't on is entering a game. So it behooves you to make as few as possible. You make changes when (a) the previous guy is pitching ineffectively, ( the previous guy has grown weary, (c) the previous guy is clearly overmatched. Amen. i hate taking out a pitcher who is cruising, you never so know what the next guy will have that night even if he's a better pitcher, and while i'm fine with taking out a bradford/feliciano/julio to give way to a sanchez/wagner theres no reason to take out Sanchez if he's just had an easy inning.
