    ]I'm not a fan of the platoon. why not and what is your solution? i think the platoon, provided that whoever is "hot" gets most of the time, is a good way to fill the position while also keeping a needed bwench player fresh.

    well, i gave Martinez "only" 2.5 for 5 innings 1 run (that can get a 3 or even a 4 sometimes) because i felt that with the huge early lead he was given he needed to be more efficient with his pitch count and go 6 or even 7 innings, in a blowout game the starter's job is to go as deep as possible so that we dont use the pen at all.

Henderson must have been involved during spring training, i wonder if Bonilla was there too, no wonder they're down on Diaz.

    ]Billy Wagner had some early season melt downs that demonstrated that Armando Benitez isn't the only closer that coughs up leads from time to time. emphasis added. if/when wagner gets shitted on against the braves 2 straight weekends in september or blows a world series game against the MFYs he'll be just as big a goat. this season has been great so far, dont jinx it.

    again people take a joke seriously, and worse yet out of it's original context. when i made that comment it was directed at a specific pitcher who was about to blow a lead. i'm much happier when the mets don't have anyone for me to dislike (like right now!)
