I'm basing my points on who helped out before the game got out of hand. that means 5 points for Maine (who went 5 scoreless before the offense even got involved), 1 for beltran who started the scoring, 1 for green making it 3-0, with 3 points left i'll give 1 to reyes for his homer and overall good number (turning the score from 7-0 to 9-0 isn't point worth), another to beltran for his great game, and the final point to loduca because i can't ignore 3 hits and walk in 5 plate appearences.

its 4-4-07 (i hate starting new threads to make 1 post) and Bonds has homered, getting us 1 closer to the dreaded day he breaks the record

we had the auction in my keeper league, heres my team (10 team nl only) C (2)- Barajas, Miller 1B- Fielder 2B- Phillips 3B- Ramirez SS- Everett CI- Ensberg MI- Hardy OF (5)- Berkman, Bay, Cameron, Hart, Scott UT- Kouzmanoff P (9)- Reyes, Sheets, Lilly, Cook, Davis, K.Wells, W.Williams, Valverde, Lidge Bench- Saltalamachia, Logan, C.Gonzalez, S.Hairston, M.Gonzalez, Humber i like my hitting, i'm sure it looks weak to anyone who is used to shallow skill-less leagues but for a 10-team NL-only its good. i could use better starting pitching and their age worries me too, none of those middle of the road guys are going to breakout and join Sheets as aces. i like to stock my bench with prospects, it is a keeper league after all. i also took gonzalez in case wickman loses his job and logan for cheap steals if i need those.

    HR Reyes!

still a successful first start from Looper, 5 scoreless from an ex-reliever is hte best you can expect before he gets hit
  9. nymr83
and heres Edmonds with another dive that shouldnt have been needed. showboat!

was Alou's catch really that nice or Wilson's ball that deep? the radio made it sound like it was leaving the park off the bat.
  11. nymr83
Looper is through 1, but I'd expect as much from an ex-reliever. the question with this guy is can he go 5+ every night?
  12. nymr83
    those were both cool commercials.

]I do see Willie as unusually secretive and hostile to questions about his reasoning process As opposed to Omar, whom you criticized FOR talking about his reasoning process.

I think the resulting STDs would make it a bad deal for him. Paris' sister is hotter and gets in much less trouble.

LMAO it might also read "white, short, and not large enough to be suspected of steroid use"

Schilling lasted 4 innings today, the amazing part is that it was his shortest start in TEN years and 281 starts

Lidge blew a save, but I like his attitude: ]"If the fans are booing they're booing, but we need to give them something to cheer about."

Sheets threw a complete game (2 hits, 1 run) probably a rarity on opening day. Dunn homered twice. Matsui 2-2 so far in Colorado.

]ARod HRs in the 8th giving Yanx & Mariano a 4 run lead for the 9ththat wasn't clutch.
