    getting swept 4 games in philly is disgusting. can this fucking bullpen hold a fucking lead? i'm not suprised that the offense put up a 5 spot in the 8th, the offense is GOOD whe healthy which it now is, the bullpen has been blowing games left and right all year long.

    with the heart of the order due up Wagner is the right move, even if he's only in there for 1 inning, theres no reason to save him for the 9th if the the big hitters are coming up in the 8th. good move willie.

    I disagree. If anything I prefer to send a guy who has a good inning back out there for another one, because who knows if the next guy will have his "stuff" or not that night? better to stick with the guy already pitching well (barring a reason like lefty/righty matchups or a clearly better pitcher like wagner replacing mota or something) edit- i disagree with the bmfc post that elster just quoted, didnt realize it wasnt immediately above.

    ]What I have done from time to time is taken Selig and others to task for crediting the WC system for everything short of a cleaner environment I've noticed Shea looking alot cleaner since they made the playoffs as a wild card team in 1999...

    the game 1 starter coming back on full rest to pitch game 4 in the ALDS "B" is bullshit, ALDS "A" starting on the 4th day after the season ends is crap too, what happened to the advantage of wrapping up your playoff spot before the last day or two? all series should start tuesday or wednesday and have 5 games in 7 days...days off should only be for the travel between cities.

    Kaz Ishii, Kaz Matsui, Roger Cedeno (the 2nd time he was here). Theres always a reliever or two every year that I really hate, but Mel Fucking Rojas is easily my least favorite.

    The lead is starting to look comfortable. The Braves/Phillies aren't bad enough for the Mets to run away and hide like last August, but I sure like 7 games.

    Heilman on for the 9th. Wagner has pitched in 2 of the last 3 and 3 of the last 5... i'm suprised he is unavailable. edit- and yeah, bringing him in to a 4 run game last night was pointless
