"Major League Baseball recently notified Manny Ramirez of an issue under Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program," the statement said. "Rather than continue with the process under the Program, Ramirez has informed MLB that he is retiring as an active player.     I thought bringing him in last night was foolish. He shouldn't be allowed to finish any game that isn't a save (except bringing him in to a tie game in extra innings or something like that.) Letting him pitch 3 runs down is just asinine.

    I've really managed to cut it down this year, I've got the CPF league and 10 team NL-only auction keeper league that is going into what i think is it's 10th year with about half the original owners and only one new guy (and he's the first in several years)

    I would just LOVE to see this Phillies team fall apart and not meet any of the lofty expectations. I'd even rather see Atlanta win the division.

    I like the Under on the Phillies, yeah they are loaded but alot has to go right to win that many games. I like the Under on the Giants, I think that number is just a bit high for an above average team that caught fire at the right time and won the series And I like the Over on the Orioles, I see them nearing .500

    In defense of Port St. Lucie, the city has actually grown rapidly during the last decade I only knew that because Jason Isringhausen said so when he was interviewed the other day.

    I expect an injury. Barring that he has a career-average year at the plate, but with lots of steal attempts (its a contract year and he has 29 other GMs to show he can still do it)
