  2. Hey Bloomberg, I want my 64 oz. coke back!! Oh and stop bullying property owners off their land, thanks!
  3. Big redemption inning for rauch there! That was the yankee-game santana today... I hope we don't see him again!
  4. TransMonk wrote: metirish wrote: Would you flip Zack Wheeler for him? I wouldn't. Not unless Hamels signs a nice 5 year extension right away. Wheeler looks great but until a guy shows it in the majors you just don't know what he'll be, so I'd deal him for 5 years of Hamels, but I wouldn't even consider it for a 3 month rental.
  5. Amazing. Could cost Dickey the all-star start and in the long run maybe the cy young!
  6. I still haven't SEEN the play, but Howie said the scoring was kosher, I wouldn't want it changed after the fact- if its even debateable then the official scorer's initial call should stand.
  7. E5 (damnit Wright!!) And a passed ball have the Rays first runner in scoring position... And another passed ball has him at thirdbase.... FUUUUUUUUCK
  8. It sounds like Mets fans have taken over this stadium!
  9. The MLB radio app is strange, sometimes it cuts out the WFAN commercials and you hear everything going on at the ballpark between innings... And sometimes they forget to cut the feed and you hear that annoying 'kars for kids' commercial.
  10. Quintanilla! 6 straight hits!
  11. Its a hit parade! 4 straight to start the inning as Bay is driven in by Ike... Rays going to the bullpen!
  12. Jason Bay! Vinny Rottino! They hold Bay at third with nobody out, will we Like Ike again?
  13. Rays barely touched their bullpen yesterday despite the score and it was an offday monday I believe, so they should have plenty for today and tomorrow.
  14. Dickey cruising, 27 2/3 scoreless at the end of the 3rd. This is one game I really wish I was home to watch. Radio can't do the knuckleball justice.
  15. Wright must have had a terrible jump, they rarely throw for the trail runner on a double-steal. Also, isn't wright something like 7 for 15 stealing bases this year? Time for the red light!
  16. I would have sworn those were pictures of a man. Other than Halle Berry, I can't think of a woman who successfully pulls off the super-short hair look.
  17. Frayed Knot wrote: There are actually several rules depending on which catwalk--or "ring" as they call them--your pop fly hits. Do any of them give Bay a chance at a cheap homer? There should be a ground-rule at MFYS that a ball in the first ten rows down the line is an OUT, kinda like when you're a teenager and you are out for hitting it over the fence and losing the ball
  18. Edgy DC wrote: I don't know about "you people." This is Ashie's refrain. If he qualified, Quint would be leading all National League shortstops in OPS. Defensively, the game I was at in Washington, it felt like he was the only real player in the field. Certainly the infield. Are you insulting Niewenhuis or was he not in the field that day?
  19. I've been busy at work but I promise to give you all that the internet has to offer on Stanky... Just as soon as he signs on the dotted line!
  20. themetfairy wrote: He had a good game in Trenton on Saturday night. Here he is after hitting a home run - BE CAREFUL, SLUGGER! Given your past propensity for injuries, please toss the bat further away from home plate after spanking a homerun, it looks to be far too close to your path to the dugout and we don't want you stepping on it and spending all of July in rehab.
  21. Frustrating not to get the runner home from 3rd there. Rauch staying in for the 9th, Francisco, Batista, and the over-used Ramirez still in the pen. Hefner available too?
  22. The Yankees specialize in bullshit homers.
  23. Howie Rose talking about Valdespin being told to play ARod by gwetting much closer to the second base bag... And no sooner does Howie says it then arod grounds one right at Valdespin! Defensive positioning at work!
  24. The Mets need a WIN badly. I don't want to look back and say this season took its nosedive at MFYS.
