  2. Edgy DC wrote: Valdy giveth. Valdy taketh a shit. Its turned to diarhea now. Parnell strikes out Espinoza trying to limit the damage
  3. I hate the bullpen!!
  4. Ugh, come on Murph! At least he got one to avoid disaster
  5. Satan can't get the runner in with 1 out, Murphy will do it but after another pitching change. At least we are burning through their bullpen in the first game of a series
  6. Blind Squirrel finds nut! Wright walked intentionally to follow... And oh, look, Duda is out of the game... Satan will bat. Let's see if we can put this game out of range for shitpen to fuck it up.
  7. That phone number is going to have to change pretty quick now that he's been drafted and the entire met fanbase plus new york media can see it. I dare one of you to call it and ask him to come join the cranepool!
  8. Ceetar wrote: That guy was only drafted so the scout could write off his trip to Hawaii. "See Jeff? I told you there was a kid out there, now how about this scouting trip I've been planning for Bermuda?"
  9. I wasn't enamored with what Keith Law and Churchill had to say about either of them on ESPN, it sounds like the Mets gave up on upside in order to ensure themselves another Ruben Tejada and a guy who isn't a great defensive catcher and has a bat that's good "for the position."
  10. I completely forgot that Lima was dead until I read that article. Looks like was was living the Antonio Cromartie-approved lifestyle for awhile there.
  11. soupcan wrote: Doesn't the fact that Gary said it and yet it STILL happened sort of dispel the whole jinx notion from here on out anyway...? Obviously Beltran's "hit" was a result of Gary jinxing it on the air and we were simply fortunate the umpire missed it.
  12. Torres at least gets a run in and here comes Motte to fave Wright with the tying run at 3rd.... I'd love to see a balk or wild-pitch right away to take the pressure off
  13. Huge double for Niewenhuis, come on Torres!! Motte up in the bullpen I'm sure for Wright
  14. Enough with this shitty bullpen! Let just bolt the bullpen door shut with all the relievers locked inside. Tell Dickey he is going 9 every time out and also relieving anyone who can't. Its Knuckleball time!
  15. Scott Hairston!!
  16. John Cougar Lunchbucket wrote: This coulda been worse, you babies. Two big whiffs by Gee. Beltran came as close to hitting that Curveball he just swung at as he did to hitting Wainwright's!
  17. E1 is not the way the Mets are going to miss the sweep, right???
  18. Lefty Specialist wrote: This has the smell of a late-inning bullpen gift to the Redbirds, though. It would be very disappointing if we look back on this, a season in which the Mets spent almost all their offseason resources "improving" the bullpen, as a potential playoff team ruined by the bullpen.
  19. Come on Dillon Gee! Nymr83 needs another no-no! So I got to the office this morning and remembered that half my office went to the game friday night. I declined as I was headed to AC. Gambling is bad for you, even if you win, because now I'm just jealous!
  20. I assume the Mets are getting below avg defense at 2B and if both corner OF spots. Average defense at SS and 3B, slightly above average in CF, maybe good at 1B. No idea where our catchers rank. That adds up to bad D I think

I did. (At least, partially.) I feel if they were still at Shea I would have been to a game already this year, which I haven't been. Maybe its just a shift in my priorities, going out to the game isn't as important as it used to be, but I think that shift happened right when the Mets moved, I can't really say for sure if that's a coincidence or not.
  22. Fuck this Python guy, we're winning! The bullpen does seem to get lit on fire a lot though. And the offense has a tendency to take a lead but then not really expand on it.
  23. Damn, why couldn't Rob Johnson stomp on Pierre's hand or something? I HATE the head-first slide, especially into home, and I'm glad it was their guys doing it
  24. Edgy DC wrote: Eight of eight voters say he'll be extended before opening day 2013. What a lousy bunch of Met-hating pessimist you guys are! Well, according to the Mets Predicting thread all but 2 or 3 of us are behind their win pace
